SETTING: The Winding Deep Guild Hall was, as usual, pitifully quiet. With the exception of Johnny and Ultimate-Dream who were chasing Si-Shen around the living room with flaming pickles. WhoGuru sat curled in her comfy chair, watching her other guild members play games, read books and watch t.v. and decided something needed to give. She was bored silly and what better way to amuse herself than forcing her members to go on a dangerous quest! She popped up from her chair, jumped atop Saints Warriors sturdy back and clapped her hands for attention. "Alright everyone! Listen up! You're going on a treasure hunt!!" Heads turned quickly in her direction and she had their rapt attention. "That's right! You know the old guild mansion up on the hill, right?" Supernatural Daughter raised her hand and said quietly..."Isn't that the one you don't use anymore because it got over-run by vampires and Grunnies?" "Um..." WhoGuru cleared her throat. "Well, yeees....but what's a treasure hunt without a little danger!" She stared down the few doubting members and continued. "You will collect a map of the mansion and a list of the things you need at the door and then head up the hill to the mansion! The first member to return here with all the goodies on the list will recieve a prize!" She glanced around as no one was moving and stamped her foot! "Well! Get going! Have fun! That's an order!" Ultimate Dream snorted on his way past her and grabbed a list on his way out the door.
You must find and return with the following: -One small Bell from the Dining Room- -One book from either Library- -4 Black Candles from somewhere in the Cellar- -A game controller of your choice from one of the Gaming Rooms- -A Towel from one of the Bathrooms- -A Can of Spam from the Kitchen- -A Costume from one of the bedrooms that you must wear back to the Guild Hall- -3 random items of your choice that seem unique or interesting-
WhoGuru surveyed the mansion through the windows as her members filed out giggling and talking. It was true. Many years ago they had had to abandon it to the many vampires and Grunnies that had over run the place. With the vampires had come scores of ghosts. Some were benign and payed little attention to visitors. Others were vicious and capricious, playing pranks and in general trying to scare hell out of any who dared trespass in the mansion. Even the mansion itself had developed a personality. Doors would often refuse to open, doorknobs vanish before your very eyes and the portriats on the walls had, it seemed, been pulled from the Harry Potter novels and had been known to hurl insults at those foolish enough to wander in. She smiled, pleased with herself and finally stepped down off Saint's Warriors back. With a groan, he tottered to his feet, stuck his tongue out at his Captain and grabbed a map and a list on his way out the door.

RULES: **Please keep all random chatter about the RP in the Treasure Hunt Chat Thread. Let's not clutter the RP with chat and questions. Thank you!
**If you are bitten by vampires three times, you will turn into a vampire. If this happens, you must go to the gardens and drink from one of the fountains to be restored to human. Then continue on your quest. You can not finish the quest as a vampire. You MUST be human...or at least mostly human.
**Follow the rules! Read the rules! If you don't follow them...you wont be eligible for the prize at the end and no one wants that!
**You may play solo or gather a group of two or more members and play together. You may interact via RP with other single players in the mansion.
**Always roll in your current post to see what happens in your next. See details on rolling below. Don't forget to roll!
**The first person or group to return to the guild hall with everything on the list AND having followed all the rules will receive 1,000 gold. Everyone who returns after that with all the items and following the rules will receive 500 gold!
**Write as little, or as much as you want to describe your journey through the mansion. Have fun, be creative.

POST 1= ACTION: WhoGuru rolled 1D6 - rolled a 4 ----- WhoGuru pulled on the handle to the study door, hoping it would open. -------------------------------- POST 2= ACTION: WhoGuru rolled 1D20 - rolled a 19 ----- The door opened with an ominous creak and she stepped into the study. She closed her eyes and turned on the light, hoping the room was empty. --------------------------------- POST 3= ACTION: WhoGuru rolled 1D6 - rolled a 2 ----- She opened her eyes and saw a ghost circling the ceiling in lazy circles, moaning a hideous sound. She braced herself to be chased from the room but it did nothing, seeming to take no notice of her. With a shiver, she searched the room, finally coming up with what she needed. With a last glance at the ghost, she returned to the door. As she reached for the handle, it vanished before she could touch it. She heard the faint sound of laughter and stamped her foot. "Not fair!" She yelled at the door, and resigned herself to finding another way out.

Truly bored and in need of a little excitement, WhoGuru decided to take part in her own hunt. She stepped quietly through the mansion door and peered into the gloom. She saw several people disappearing around corners and up stairs. Nodding she consulted her map. "Well, I suppose the Kitchen is always a good place to start. Maybe there'll be cookies." She walked up the hall, past several doors and the stairs and checked the map again. Going through the study was the easiest way. She tucked away her map and reached for the Study's handle.

Much to her surprise, the handle turned smoothly and the door swung open without a problem. WhoGuru stepped inside and fumbled for the light switch.

The lights came on and the room was silent. She stepped across and around the desk to the back wall. According to her map, there was a door back there to the kitchen. There were several paintings on the wall that seemed to be looking at her as she found the nearly hidden doorknob and gave it a twist.

The knob dissolved in her hand as the paintings began to chuckle quietly. One, an old man with muttonchops, glared down at her. "It wont open you know. You'd better get used to our company."
WhoGuru stepped back from the wall, keeping her calm and surveyed the outline of the door in the wall. SHe stuck her tongue out at the painting, squared her shoulders and rammed the door with her shoulder.

The door popped open under the force of her weight and she tumbled into the kitchen. She stood, dusting herself off, and surveyed the room carefully since the lights were already on.

The kitchen was cool and done in chrome and black. Funny, she didn't remember giving the kitchen a make-over before abandoning the mansion. WhoGuru shrugged her shoulders and stepped over to the cupboards to find her can of Spam. She opened the nearest cabinet and gave a girly eek before jumping back. A pair of beady red eyes stared out at her and then leaped down to the counter. "Grunnies." She breathed and, being a vampire, whipped out her deadly sharp claws, bearing them at the Grunny. "You try anything and I'll dice you." She growled at the beast. It paced along the counter top, watching and considering her. For a moment, she thought it would slink away but then it crouched, gathered itself and with a screech, leaped at her face. She swiped out with her claws and took the Grunny mid-body, slicing it in half. The pieces tumbled to the floor and slid against the wall. WhoGuru retracted her claws, adjusted her eyepatch, and wiped at the drops of Grunny blood on her shirt. "Did not know who it was messing with." She went back to the cabinets and cautiously searched for the Spam, finding it nestled behind a six pack of Diet Shisno Cola, she decided to leave through the gardens and skip the obnoxious paintings in the study.

Wither it was curiosity, or just pure boredom, Yoshi decided to take on the task of finding these items as well, hoping to elude any possibility of being slowed down by a Vampire bites.
As he walked up the path to the mansion, he could already feel the fear growing in his gut, as the cold wind began to pick up, and push against him.
with fear running up his spine, he quickly made his way to the front door of the mansion, curling his shaking fingers around the nob.
it turned with a screeching sound, as if a hundred dead souls were welcoming his trespass. The door opened, and he slowly stepped into the main hallway.
looking at his map, he decided he would go to the dining area first, seeing that so many of the other rooms he needed to hit were close by.
"Well this was a good idea.." he thought to himself, starting to already have second thoughts.
Shaking his head and clearing his thoughts, he gathered up courage, and walked over to the closet door on his left, reaching for the handle....
