Im now a fence sitter on the issure of global warming....I now believe that global warming is a phase and we are now in a transition phase going into the next cooling cycle three main things that prove it: the arctic ice has made an astonishing recovery, the suns has the lowest amount of sunspots its had in years, and the ice at antarctica is bigger and thicker than ever in recorded history. The truth is that the sun has much more effect on climate than us.

We WILL go into a global cooling (it's the earth's cycle), but the rate at which we are heating our planet is too quick and the cooling won't do us any good. Never in recorded history has the tempertures been so high as in the last few years. Nature is constantly sending us warnings (greenland, el nino, hurricanesand more), really, unless we do something NOW to stop the warming, we'll all be dead before the cooling even begins.

I live in florida, and I've noticed rapid changes in the weather down here that have been worrying me. One day it's blazing hot, and the next it's cold, nonstop hurricanes one year, then none at all the next, lots of cloud cover and yet hardly any rain, etc. The water level has dropped constantly in the canal near my house by about 1 foot over the past few months.

Do more research...If you study the climate zones of the USA you'll realize that its a little known but proven fact that local weather goes in cycles too....You'll get a few years or really weird weather like what you described...Then you get typical weather for awhile...Sometimes as long as 20 years! eek

Global Warming is our revenge for the Titanic, plus its good for the economy, drives the price up for wheat and opens new trade roughts.

Uhm...
Recorded history is not even a blip on the geological scale. If you look back about 5-10 million years ago you will see that temperatures have been both higher and lowe than they are now.

Even during recorded history we've had higher temperatures. And there was even a time (around the last ice age) that CO2 levels were higher than they are now.
