It will be a 60 point game. 30 of this must be spent on creating your stand. You buy ability scores too, point for point. Seven is the highest a human can have and your stats are Body, Mind and Soul., with a base score of three each. Give me a reason why if you want a stat over seven.
Every roll in the game is done with 2d6. Attacks, skill checks, defense checks, etc. The difficulty is set by the value used (ie Combat Value, the average of all three stats, is the base difficulty when attacking; see example character sheet). Initiative is 1d6 + Speed bonus.
Skills
All skills have a maximum of 6 levels/skill. You can specialize in a field under a certain skill for one point each and then level like you would the skill. Specialization gives you a -1 (in BESM, that's a good thing) to the dice roll. Ex.
Gun Combat razz istols 1/5
You don’t have to specialize and can just have a general knowledge in a field.
Acrobatics 4 points/level Animal Training 1 point/level Architecture 2 points/level Artisan 2 points/level Biological Sciences 4 points/level Boating 2 points/level Burglary 3 points/level Business Management 2 points/level Computers 5 points/level Controlled Breathing 1 point/level Cooking 1 point/level Cultural Arts 2 points/level Demolition 3 points/level Disguise 3 points/level Driving 3 points/level Electronics 4 points/level Forgery 3 points/level Gaming 2 points/level Interrogation 3 points/level Intimidation 4 points/level Law 3 points/level Linguistics 2 points/level Mechanics 3 points/level Military Sciences 3 points/level Navigation 2 points/level Performing Arts 2 points/level Physical Sciences 2 points/level Piloting 3 points/level Poisons 2 points/level Police Sciences 3 points/level Riding 1 point/level Seduction 3 points/level Sleight of Hand 2 points/level Social Sciences 2 points/level Sports 1 point/level Stealth 4 points/level Swimming 1 point/level Unique Character Skill 4 points/level Urban Tracking 4 points/level Visual Arts 1 point/level Wilderness Survival 1 point/level Wilderness Tracking 1 point/level Writing 2 points/level

EXAMPLE
Joe Average
Body 4 (this no. is average human ability) Mind 4 Soul 5 (this number isn't really high for soul so your average person could have a 5 Soul)
13 points are spent on Body, Mind and Soul.
Combat Value = (Body + Mind + Soul) / 3 Joe Average's Combat Value = 13 / 3 = 4.3 repeating = 4 Defense Value = Combat Value minus 2. Joe's Defense Value: 2
Health Points = (Body + Soul) * 3 Joe's Health Points = 27
Energy Points = (Mind + Soul) * 3 Joe's Energy Points = 27
Skill Points = Mind * 5 Joe's Skill Points = 30 (20 base and +10 from Highly Skilled)
Abilities (this is where Joe Average becomes less average...)
Highly Skilled (say Joe took a year of college) Level 1 (1 point/level) = +10 skill points
1 character point spent
Damn Healthy!(Joe's constitution is slightly better than average) Level 2 (1 point/level, 2 points) = +20 health points (+10/level)
2 character points spent
Mechanical Genius(Joe has a knack for mechanics) Level 1 (2 points/level) = +1 to electronics and mechanics skill.
2 character points spent. By this point you have used all but 2 character points for Joe. Maybe one more in Highly Skilled or pick another ability.
Skills (this is actual learned knowledge) level/points spent
Electronics 1/4, 4 points/level, +1 from Mechanical Genius Mechanics 2/6, 3 points/level, +1 from Mechanical Genius Driving 2/6, 3 points/level (drives a standard) Swimming 2/2, 1 point/level (decent swimmer) Writing 2/4, 2 points/level (practicing writer) Computers 1/5, 5 points/level (novice) Gaming 1/2, 2 points/level (knows how to play a variety of games) Cooking 1/1, 1 point/level (not very skilled in the kitchen)
Granted, this is a very basic everyday character with only normal powers and no combat skills or defects. I just wanted to post this to show how simple the system is and to get a feel for it. I will post more advanced examples soon and also some examples of characters from anime to show how versatile the system really is.
