I always hear that many women can't help their actions while on their period, but there's something that puzzles me. If a woman 100 years ago acted like that towards her husband, she'd be beaten and raped. So this leads me to a question. Do you think PMS is uncontrollable to some because she doesn't need to control it? Is it possible that feminism is why women PMS?

I've only heard a few women say that they can't control their actions during PMS, and these women always have some excuse to not take responsibility.
I think that women are much more outspoken about PMS today because we know its source and we do have more social freedom to express it. Products for PMS and menstruation are usually more for capitalist aims, not for health-related reasons.
During the period of time you're mentioning, many women stayed in bed during their cramps and periods because it was considered an illness. And, if the illness got too bad, all of her inner sexual organs were scooped out - hysterectomies were emotional rather than medical procedures. The women who couldn't afford to stay in bed just delt with their PMS because making money to survive was more important.
