The ages are dark and uneasy; people are weary of their own neighbors and untrusting of the nobles. A king is ruler of this land, but he hasn’t been seen in an age and rules through his advisers. In this land there is little technology, crossbows and catapults are the only real advancements in an age. But magic roams free around the world to make up for the lack of technology. Mythical creatures live in the deep forests of the world and other intelligent creatures besides humans exist. The magic is waning though, once powerful wizards are hard to find and the creatures are going into hiding for fear of their lives. All this because the once kind king has disappeared and no one knows why.
These days many mercenaries roam the roads, looking for well paying jobs and the chance to use their blade against the skin of another person or creature. People fear these mercenaries but will do nothing against it, occasionally one will hire a thug to take out a mercenary, but it’s rare that a thug should succeed. Aside from these people there are people who fight for the good, but in this day they are hard to find and any who would strike against the new evil the kings advisers have worked into life are put to death. This has made the vast majority of people scared and quiet, not wishing to see the rope as well.
These are the days, this is the life, make your own way through the world and write your own story. Make friends or make enemies, fight the evil advisers or join on their side and put a stop to those threatening to overthrow this evil. The path is your own, and the roads you cross may lead to a great adventure.
A Few Rules: ~No God Modeing. This is a given for every Roleplay. ~Follow Gaia TOS. No one wants to be Banned. ~PG13. Romance and Violence are allowed, but dont go over the top. ~No Killing of other peoples characters. For this you must ask permission from the other player.
Things to Know: ~I'll allow almost any race you can think of. But try to be a little realistic with your creations. Try not to make an all powerful character because it only helps to kill the roleplay and no one really wants that to happen.
(I may or may not edit these later. Please make sure to keep a good look out incase I do change. If I do however I'll be sure to post that I have changed the rules slightly.)

The preist had been on the road for days now, going from village to village in hopes of finding something to do or someone to help. The last village he passed through hadnt given him more then a look, to afraid it seemed to even speak with the traveling priest. He had quickly left that place though, moving on to find somewhere else to go.
Walking the roads again he was passing through some open land, a few trees were lined along the path and a huge forest was just to the right a few yards. It was surely a dangerous road at night, but out in the sun it was pleasent and calm. Stopping for a moment he rested the butt of his staff scythe combo on the floor and looked up to the sky to watch birds pass. "Such a lovely day. If only everyday was this nice." He said to himself as a gentle breeze blew the fabric of his outfit.
Looking around he walked over to a tree that grew on the side of the road. It wasnt to big, but it was enough to provide shade for the priest. Sitting on the floor with his legs crossed before him he rested his back against the rough bark of the tree. A little rest was in order on such a day he thought. Closing his eyes he started to hum a little tune as he relaxed, though he never let himself slip into sleep, it only looked like he was sleeping to others.

Keiko found herself skipping down a deserted road, whistling and swinging a long, thin chain. She found herself looking about her, watching the sun dance across the leaves and the breeze tickle the trees. She smiled and continued whistling as she danced down the road.

Though neither the people on the road could be seen, the old priest could hear them and feel the footsteps ofmen in heavy armor walking toward his place on the road. Opening one eye he looked down the road for the first person he figured he would see first, a woman perhaps if he judged right by the skipping.
Hearing her whistle, he closed his eye agains and smiled. Pursing his lips he whistled a call, something like a father would do to call his child back to him. Ending his whistle he went quiet to see if he would get an answer back. This was also for the other person as well, to see if he would et an answer. Father Izil was a funny man sometimes, his motives hard to see on occasion. But perhaps he was looking to see if people were aware of their surroundings.

FWOOOM!!! A great spout of fire rocketed out from the woods, frightening nearby birds, rabbits and deers.... and incinerating others. Twigs and blacked grass still carried small tufts of fire from the grand explosion.
And in the center of this little display was a young boy, unscathed, but nude. Slowly, Komo unclenched his eyes, and dared to look down at his body.
"DAMMIT!" He shouted, standing and growling. His little experiment had failed. Again. Now he had to steal another outfit. Komo ran his fist into the nearest tree, withdrew it, and shook it in the air, trying to shake off this new throbbing pain. He sat down quietly next to the crater and sighed.
He couldn't do anything today. Without any clothes, he'd attract WAY more attention than he wanted. He'd have to wait until nightfall to get a new outfit.... what a damn pain...

There was a subtle rumble in the outskirts of town. Barely noticeable, but still, the ground felt odd. It wasn't long before an earthworm surfaced, as big around as a barrel, with a hard leather pack-like thing on its back. It reared up and looked around, before laying flat. The Stiff pack buckled and burst in places, revealing it was not a pack, but a saddle, a saddle sealed around a rider for underground travel. The woman that peeled out was completely colorless except her armor, a tight-fitting leather. She shook out her white hair, said something in terran to the worm, which promptly returned underground. It would stay nearby underground until she called it. She looked at the town, and began to change.
Her hair suddenly filled with deep, auburn color, her features sharpened and her skin became an olive color. Her armor shifted into a more alluring setup, her chest inflated, legs lengthened, waist narrowed, and her eyes became a brilliant emerald green. Her ears grow out and pointed, but not too far. She pulled a small steel mirror out of the bag on her newly-prominent hips, and looked at herself critically. She filled out her lips, puckered up and practiced a VERY alluring blown kiss. She smiled to herself, and strode into town, complete with new identity as the incredibly attractive half-elf adventurer. Throw in the exotic elements of a half-elf, the dangerous allure of a woman who hunts monsters for a living, and wearing skimpy armor, and you have the best form you can for getting information out of unwitting townsfolk. This was gonna be fun.

Keiko stopped her skipping and froze, feeling the sounds of the world about her funnel into her ears. An explosion? A strange whistle? She looked around to see a young priest on the side of the road, sleeping. She shook her head and began to approach him. Suddenly she heard the sound of a hand hitting a tree.
Curious, Keiko began to enter into the forest. She approached cautiously, smoke filling her nose. She coughed then peeked into the clearing, instantly looking away. Why in all that was holy was a man standing in the open stark naked?! Keiko asked herself.
She moved to leave, but suddenly felt someone move within the forest. She didn't have to look at the naked man to know it was not him. She slid through the forest silently. Suddenly a man jumped in front of her, taking her off guard.
"Well, well." the man purred with an evil, toothless grin. "Look what I found here. A little Neko who got out of her cage." Keiko began to back up slowly, staring the man down with a stern face as he followed.
"You should know as much as anyone that you can't control a Neko, Larus." She said lowly. "Let alone by yourself."
Just as the words exited her mouth, Keiko's back hit something hard and she knew instatnly it was not a tree. She slowly looked up to see a tall, dumb looking man standing behind her, smiling in his own hardly toothed grin.
"Well, you got smart, Larus." She said plainly. "You got reinforcements." She finally looked back at the man before her. "Though it won't help you."
Just then the man behind her lunged for her, but Keiko weaseled out of the way. Larus jumped for her, but Keiko was gone. She quickly modeled into her Neko form and began running through the forest.

She sashayed into the tavern, drawing stares immediately. She resisted the urge to show off, and stayed true to her role, slightly serious, an edge of worldly experience, but not enough to be intimidating. She stretched, showing off her way-too-impressive-for-an-elf rack and leaned saucily over the bar. "Barkeep, think I could get a room for the night?" She asked. "It's been a lot of bad road since the Eldeen Reaches." She explained. The barkeep quickly handed her some keys, and after a bit more negotiation, she got the first round of the evening on the house. She smiled. Men were so easy to manipulate.

Keiko soon found herself in the city and attempted to lose herself in the crowds. She finally came in contact with a door and entered it.She turned and instantly regretted entering the building. She was in a tavern. Of all of the places she could be, she was in a tavern. Sliding through the shadows, she snuck up to a corner and leaned itno the shadows fully.

She smiled and got a table, making sure to show off her assets on the way. "How am I ever going to meet the bishop at this rate?" She asked, louder then necessary, after finishing her beer. Eagerly, a few dozen of the town boys scraped their chairs back, but silently determined the pecking order, and all but one scraped back in. Te remaining one was a tall, fit boy of twenty summers. He was well-muscled for a life of farm work, and he was reasonably attractive. If she didn't have a job, she'd have had some fun with this one. She quickly ran mental circles around him, tricking him into revealing things he wouldn't have otherwise.

Hiro Hanma would make his way into the tavern, his eyes wide with curiosity as he walked in. His head seemed to turn to and froe as he took in all the people easing their stress this late summer evening.
As he walked in a sheep, a donkey, and a pair of doves would follow him in. They all seemed to be curious of the surroundings as well. It was an obvious upset to the residence here becuase everyone seemed to stare at him as he walked to the back of the tavern.
Nobody said anything as of yet, awestruck at the scene.
Hiro would climb onto a stage, the animals close behind him. They seemed uneasy being in here...just as much as Hiro was. Anyone could tell he was a little scared.
As he stood on the stage, the donkey would rest on it's butt and the sheep would rest beside it. The doves however would perch on Hiro's shoulders, ruffling their feathers.

Keiko watched as a newcomer entered the tavern with...birds? She witnessed in surprise as a donkey and a sheep also followed him in. This man intrigued her.
Keiko felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise suddenly as the door opened. In the doorway stood Larus, angry and still toting his bodyguard. She felt a growl grow in her throat as she moved through the shadows, trying to avoid him.
She was powerless. She knew it. Worst of all, Larus knew it. She had to avoid contact with him until she could get into her demonic form. She didn't stand a chance in this human body.
Suddenly a firm hand slammed her neck into the wall and she hissed. She moaned as the man tightened his grip on her. She opened her eyes and smiled.
"Nice to see you, Korin." She whispered. "I should feel honored. I'm being chased by the best assassin in the world after all." The man smiled wickedly.
"You have been nothing but a pain in the rear end since I took the contract to kill you." Korin said. "Now it is time for you to die!"
