Dreams have been described as the subconscious interpretation of one's psyche and physical interactions throughout the day-to-day living. They could be nightmares, or hopes and fantasies.

The cow may only jump over the moon, and a cat can only play the fiddle in your dreams.

Online Dream Dictionary

So what have you been dreaming?

I dreamed that there was this this huge virtual reality thingy and you could recreate anything you saw in real life. Each person got an entire small planet where they were basically God and could create anything they wanted. I created the Haggia Sophia in Istanbul.

Reminds me of the games Black & White and Spore combined together.
Someone ought to get to work on a game like that!

My dreams are as sporadic as anyone elses',
but there also seems to be some pattern of organization.

Every once in a while, I'll wake up and think
"That dream was absolutely epic!" or "Wow, that was like watching a movie!"

I try to write down dreams like that somewhere,
so that I may expand them at a later time.
Perhaps someday I'll be able to publish one as a novel.

Dreams are always very clear to me, sometimes even to the point of physical sensation. They always have been, I don't know why. But they're just as weird as everyone else's. I'm in a supermarket and the Cheese Man turns up with a giant green turtle on his back or something...

I dreamed about a masquerade last night. Everyone wore silk and velvet and brocade and jewels, with beautiful masks. Then everyone took their masks off and they had blanker masks underneath, and then they took their masks off again and there was nothing there except clay, waiting to be shaped. It was so sad, because it was like, "We're so beautiful, but our creator forgot to give us faces."

Mine have physical sensation sometimes, too!
Like if there is a specific touch or emotion or smell...
Or sometimes a specific color will stand out to me.

Okay, boys of this guild, tell me -
do you dream in color or in black and white?

I've dreamed in other languages, and with subtitles before.
Black and white? Once.
There was such a stark contrast once too; the colors were so pale and everything was so sad.

Hehe, I haven't dreamed in subtitles yet, per se,
but many times I have dreamed that instead of speaking,
the people in my dream communicate through dialogue boxes
complete with little "bip-bip-bip" sounds in a blocky font.

...I think I play too many video games.

That's just too cute. 4laugh

It's not uncommon, Hikari, for people to forget their dreams after waking.

I forget mine quite easily, and it takes a bit of thought to conjure up even a small moment. I had a dream last night, of being over at another's house, and baking cookies for them. My dreams lately have been featuring a lot of insects, namely scorpions.

Both, on occasion, but mostly in colour. And once, it was in black and white except for a little girl in a red coat. I've no idea where the hell that came from.

Last night, I dreamed that I was getting married to Juliet Landau. She wanted "Wind Beneath My Wings" for the first dance. I was horrified. And then we had this huge argument, 'cuz I just mentioned Zorra, and she was all like, "Fine! Why don't we have the music Zorra would want, and flowers that Zorra would like!" And then I was all, "How dare you! You think I don't live with the shadow of James Marsters over my head? You think I don't feel like I can't live up to your last blond boyfriend with the bleached hair and flawless skin and perfect cheekbones?" And then there was this big argument with flying plates and then the wedding arrived and for the first dance, we mercifully had A Daisy in December and then at the reception, my parents tried to stake her.

It seemed very real.

Last night, I dreamed about a Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne competition. I was fighting one of my opponents. She had a great advantage in the early part of the game. The only bad thing was, she didn't use her advantage later on.

If there is a recurring theme or object in your dreams,
like insects/scorpions or a certain color,
there are lots of dream dictionaries online
that help explain the symbolism behind those objects.

Here's one that I have turned to a few times.

Scorpion
To see a scorpion in your dream, represents a situation in your waking life which may have been painful or hurtful. It is also indicative of destructive feelings, "stinging" remarks, bitter words and/or negative thoughts being expressed by or aimed against you. Your dream forewarns of a self-destructive and self-defeating path. The scorpion is also a symbol of death and rebirth. You need to get rid of the old and make room for something new.

Spider
To see a spider in your dream, indicates that you are feeling like an outsider in some situation. Or that you may want to keep your distance and stay away from an alluring and tempting situation. The spider is also symbolic of feminine power. Alternatively, a spider may refer to a powerful force protecting you against your self-destructive behavior.
