Located outside the village, not too far into the forest. There's a clearing among the trees, and the largest tree in the forest is tucked into the corner of the clearing. On it, there's a sign made of poorly cut wood that says:
"Te@m 2
^
a
d0n"t BIame mE for dab spEling
"
Welcome to your team training area, you can do whatever you feel like here. If you aren't part of team 2, GO AWAY! Anyways, the training area is more then meets the eye. There's also a wooden shed behind the large tree.

A shattered tree was laying in the center of the training area. The cause of it's falling was obviously a blunt force, which could be concluded from the widespread splinters, and the way the tree was smashed in half. On the tree sat Ray, who was holding his head, and trying his best to keep his eyes sealed shut. He had been sitting there for roughly an hour when he finally stood up. Pulling a large, crude looking, blade off his back, his grip on the handle tightened greatly, a small stream of water ran down the blade. As the water ran down the blade, his red face seemed to cool down.

Stabbing the sword into the ground, he looked at his hand in surprise. It was soaked, and a clear stream of fresh water was coming out of his palm, seemingly from nowhere. Using his dry hand, Ray went into the supply shed and pulled a scroll out, spreading it on the ground. He then began to read off a list of seals.

Standing up with a bit more assurance in his expression, he slowly performed five seals, then used a finished seal, holding his hand high above his head. The effect wasn't immediate, but the training area slowly was enveloped by a wet mass of air. Though the visibility was still clear, the moisture could be felt. Ray calmed himself down and tried again, concentrating hard...

Belle was coughing due to the wet air in the training grounds. "Ray, are you okay? You seem pretty tense." She questioned. "I know Sly gave you the finger but thats no reason to just leave him there." The jounin announced as the furry gray blob popped out from behind her back. Kisoku flew by Belle's head and landed by Ray's feet. She had a twig with a leaf connected to it in her beak, then she laid it down on the forest floor as if saying sorry if she had done something wrong that caused him to run off. Chirping she smiled and hopped closer to Ray.

Ray had been taken by surprise. He didn't think he'd followed so quickly. Jumping slightly, a ball of water splashed onto the ground, splashing Kisoku. Quickly picking Kisoku up and using the other hand to blow warm onto the bird, he said in a spaced out voice "I'm not sure what got into me. Sorry about that, all three of you. I felt like something inside of me lit on fire when I saw those two demon thingies. But something weird happened when I got here. I have a question, how many elements of chakra are we supposed to have?"

As he spoke, water continued to flow from his hand. He didn't seem to notice.

"Um... two i think, you must be more advanced than you thought. Although that water leaking from your hand i know isn't natural." Belle stated. "Here let me take a look." She advanced toward him being cautious of random flying spheres of water. Kisoku blinked and enjoyed the warm air. She then buried her head into his chest.

Ray looked at his hand oddly. He clenched it once or twice, but nothing happened, water still leaked. Placing the lax bird on his shoulder so she wouldn't get wet again, he reached his hand out for Belle to see. He seemed wary about how he moved it, the last thing he wanted was something else to fly out when Belle was near him. As he waited, he tried to think of a solution, and commented "I don't remember learning to use electric chakra being anything like this..."

Belle reached out with both of her hands grasping his one. "You say you were trying to use electric chakra?" She asked bewildered. touching the constant flow of water with two of her fingers in the middle of his palm, she said, "You should relax, i'm not going to do anything dangerous." With that she closed her eyes and focused her chakra to the tips of her fingers. She was able to see that the water was filled with massive amounts of chakra of his own, much more than she had ever seen. Belle was stunned and aparently had forgot to breath at some point, and gasped as she shot open her eyes. Panting she said, "Well that is definantly not normal!! As she explained to Ray what she had seen as best as she could. "You know Ray I think you should go check with hokage on this one." She stated with a concerned look on her face.

Ray withdrew his hand when she was done with the examination. Holding it in front of his face, he attempted to find a clue about it from it's scent. There was nothing he could detect that Belle hadn't already pointed out. He nodded his head lightly and said "Perhaps you're right. Hope he isn't too caught up with that fight of his. If he is, I'll just drown the forest, I don't think even HE could ignore that."

Ray gave the signal for Kisoku to fly again, then picked up Sly, placing him so he was holding onto Ray's neck, resembling a scarf. And he was off! "Over the river and through the fields, to the forest of Death we go..." he chanted to himself as he did a four legged run/sprint/jump to his destination.

Rednal looked vaguely bored as he wandered into the area, stretching his right arm as he proceeded forward. Somebody had decided that it was a bright idea for him to be assigned to a team again, despite the fact that he disliked people as a whole and was often homicidal when touched. They probably thought it would help him to socialize better, or some crap like that. The only reason he'd even bothered to listen to the orders was the fact that if he was extremely lucky, he could meet somebody who could be his housekeeper. Of course, Rednal highly doubted that was the case, but things sometimes did work out nicely.

In the meantime, he intended to do little more than sit and wait. When he reached the area he was supposed to be at, Rednal sighed and took a seat. Then, having no idea of his new mentor's personality, he focused both thoughts and chakra and wove a net of almost invisibly thin pieces of ice across the area at a distance of thirty feet in every direction. With a net that dense, he'd have to break it to get in, so Rednal figured he wouldn't be surprised by his mentor's approach. And on the other hand, if the mentor DID get in without breaking through the notification trap, Rednal might actually be able to learn something from him.

He's late. Rednal thought as he stared ahead grimly. Or she's late. Whatever. This was getting to the point where it was vaguely annoying. He was Chuunin, after all, and had better things to do with his time than sitting around and waiting for someone who didn't matter. Still, they'd yell at him if he skipped out, no matter what the problems with a team leader were. Rednal sighed slightly and began reinforcing the intricate net of nearly invisible threads of ice. Control on such a level was difficult, which made it a perfectly reasonable sort of training. The sensei had better show up soon, though. Rednal hated waiting for too long, and was liable to do something he would regret. The Chuunin had extreme difficulty with just sitting and not doing anything at all. Hence the sensory net.

Running like a rabid squirrel, Sly dashed out into the center of the training grounds, and slid to a stop. Sitting on his haunches in a wolf-like manner, he tilted his head at the chuunin. Sly was smart enough to piece together why this boy was in the training grounds, and under the current situations, would be waiting a lot longer for Ray. Sly decided he was gonna cover for his owner this time.

Using a henge, Sly changed into Ray. Well, sort of. Rather then having wolf-ears and a tail, they were a raccoon's features instead. Unfortunately, that didn't mean he could talk, which would make things difficult. Luckily, Sly could write better then Ray, so he could still manage. Running into the shed, he came out with a scroll, and began to write with a classic brush. Holding the sign like a banner, it read "Temporary training assignment: Step one, show me your chakra element(s)."

Rednal looked over mildly, not at all surprised. His trap had warned him of the approach. After making a few handseals - with both hands; why bother to reveal everything to some random being? - a clone made of water morphed up out of the ground. This was far from all of Rednal's actual ability, but he didn't feel like showing that he could control ice freely, and he hated using wind techniques. In all honesty, he didn't even know any. Water and ice were far more his style. Then, with a simple direction to his clone, Rednal sent the bunshin charging forward to attack. He didn't seriously expect anything it did to actually work, but it was better than just having it stand there.

The Ray/Sly gave a disapproving frown. This kid was really gonna piss Sly off, he already knew it. Performing two quick seals, two clones appeared by Ray/Sly's side and jumped forward. The first one simply flew close enough to the clone to attack, then exploded, sending a huge ball of sparks at the clone. The second used Body Flicker so that it landed in front of the Chuunin. It then gave him a scowl, and the finger. The original Ray/Sly sniffed at the ground in front of him. He'd thought he'd noticed something odd when he entered the training grounds, and now he confirmed there had been an unusual web set up. This just confirmed it, this kid was gonna piss him off a lot.

Rednal merely raised an eyebrow. Was that supposed to be insulting? Clearly, this person had no concept of the ability to actually insult people. Not that it really mattered. Rednal didn't place quite enough value on this whole exchange to be bothered about this being's skills or lack thereof. Of course, clones were only a low-level ability. Rednal could have done something better with water or ice (or wind, but he was highly reluctant to do that), but he still felt there was no point in really showing off what he could do to somebody he had absolutely no proof was even a Leaf Ninja. Rednal was very far from a trusting individual. He wouldn't put it past another village to have someone show up and try to get him to perform abnormal techniques that they could steal for their village... doubly so for any leaf-unique techniques he might be told to perform under the guise of 'practice'. The lack of talking didn't help any, and Rednal was seriously considering killing this visitor. Better to kill someone he shouldn't than let a potential enemy get away.

He had to think for a minute. Sly had not only not expected to be attacked, he wasn't expecting the chuunin student to piss him off beyond reason. Having written something new on the scroll, Sly held the sign up again. This time it read "What the *#&$ are you doing?!?! You just wait here you $*%#ing *$&%@#)^'s @#!". Sly, however, did not censor the writing. He then threw the scroll down, and with a loud screeching noise, changed back into a raccoon. The clone stomped its foot, then exploded in a huge flurry of bright yellow sparks, and at the same time, the raccoon disappeared with a body flicker. Sly didn't care if Ray was having a mental breakdown, he was dragging him back to the training grounds.

Shortly after Sly left, Ray slowly walked into the training grounds. Without saying a word, he stood in the middle of the training grounds, and pointed to his headband. He didn't seem mad, but he wasn't being extremely enthusiastic. He then said in an emotionless voice "I'd normally wait a minute or two longer to let that deep speech I just made sink in, but since I kept you waiting, we'll move to introductions now. I am your squad leader, Ray Okame. The animal you met before," He pointed to the raccoon sitting on his shoulder "is Sly. The reason I have wolf ears and a tail is because of my clan. Just a little about me, I'm normally I much happier person, but the chain of events that caused me to be late are partly to blame, though it isn't your issue, so I won't continue to talk about it. Anyways, why don't you share with me a little about yourself. The less you tell me now, the harder you'll be making it for both of us, so I hope you're not shy."
