Right well... I live in the USA... and I'm tired of seeing things like "Bring our troops home" and "Take our boys out of Iraq". The thing is... Our boys wanted to be there and they find all the negative stuff demoralizing. I'm all for our troops safe return, but they have a job to do and I think they need to finish it. I know a few men over there, as does a few of my friends. All of us agree for the most part who know people over there yeah, we want them to return home to us in one piece BUT we want them to do what they came there to do. We've come out and taken Saddam, but there is still political unrest over in Iraq, and we need to quell it before we can leave unfortunately. And what torques my buttons even more is that there are a few radicals that go around the funerals of soldiers and scream and rant and rave with signs about how "God hates fags" and "God is killing the troops for protecting gays" and "Thank God for dead Troops" all these stupid things. Any function you have in this damned country of ours there will be a rally of anti war protesters there trying to spread their filth and lies about the war to people making them hate our troops who PROTECT US. WHY THE HELL DO THESE SCUMBAGS GET AWAY WITH INSULTING OUR TROOPS, CREATING DISCORD AND CHAOS WHEN OUR TROOPS ARE OVER THERE MAKING THE WORLD BETTER, AND PROTECTING THESE ******** PEOPLE?????? What do they think gives them the right to do such a thing? Yeah, we have free speech and all... But still WHAT THE ********? The dude I'm talking about is Reverend Fred Phelps. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6UMP3AK5jwohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=lhr96Imua8UI know this is all a little old news. But still it still pisses me off. this one makes me happy though. Good cop. It's not on screen, but apparently the officer punches Mrs Phelps. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6UMP3AK5jwo

I had no idea that people were doing that.
I never really thought about how soldiers were sent to wars. I had always thought that the government forced them to. And what does being anti-gay have to do with war? Why can't people just have the choice to be in love with the person they love? It's horrid, really.
My dad might have had to do some military service for France when he was younger, but he was deaf in one ear so he didn't have to. I don't know what we would have done if dad was sent out there and died.
But I have a very pro-Canadian view on everything. I hate to say it, but I was born and raised in a place where two neighboring countries pretend to be friends, but really make fun of each other behind the other country's back. Both countries know it, but they don't really care. Blame Bush. >__>

I'M ******** TIRED OF PEOPLE BASHING BUSH BECAUSE HE BROUGHT US INTO A ******** WAR. Jesus ******** christ people, go get a new lament. Yeah, he brought the U.S. into ******** war but you know what? I'm GLAD he did, we got rid of one SADIST b*****d and I say we go invade NORTH KOREA now. Get rid of another sadist. Hell lets get rid of all the ******** bastards!
You know what? big ******** whoop Bush brought us into a war, you know what else? So did a bunch of other presidents! They got s**t for it too. You people always bash who's in charge at the time whenever something bad happens. If Gore had won the election we still would have been attacked, we still most likely would have went to war, we STILL would be pissing at our leaders. If Kerry had one the election, one of three things would have happen. 1) He would have pulled us out and nothing would have happen but Iraq would go back to the way it was (it probably still will unfortunitly) 2) He would have pulled us out and we would have been attacked AGAIN. or 3) he would have NOT pulled us out and people would start bemoaning and pissing about him instead of Bush.
Get a life and grow the ******** up people see the big picture. It's gonna happen either way.

We still like to deny it though. Canadians have always bashed things. We like to believe that we can do things ourselves, without a leader to help us. We also have never quite felt like a whole nation, I for one have never been able to think about people belonging to Newfoundland and Labrador to be part of Canada. Sure I know that they are, but I've never been able to think about them actually being the same people as we in our province are. It's crazy though. We have always have critisized anyone who's in power at a given time. We've critisized the people around us, our friends even. We're good at finding tiny little flaws in people and opening them into a huge hole, raising havoc, and leaving things to sort themselves out again with satisfied smiles on our faces. We, in our history, have been quite muddled as well, what with different opinions flying around. We hate to make decisions right away, and we hate to be pressured to do something. We need time to think about things. At one point in the 1800s, we were told that Britain wouldn't be ruling over us anymore and that we could run things ourselves. That made everything turn to mush and unhappy and happy people were running around with a government that was too confused to do much as well. That eventually got sorted out, but still not enough. ANYWAY, back to my point. We are unable to see the full picture as we are taught only one view, and told that it is the right view. So we believe it, 'cause we've got no other opinions to replace that one with, and in addition, it's the right one. I'm critisizing myself. I should stop. One more thing though: We Canadians are Canadians as a whole. If asked individually where we're from, we'll say Canada, and we'll say where our family comes from. So if you asked me, I would tell you that I'm French, but I live in Canada. That's how badly we see ourselves as a nation.
Onto the war thing: Canada was not founded off of war. We never had to fight off the British 'cause that's who we were, practically. The French fought a war, but they weren't founded off of anything 'cause they lost. If not, Quebec would be New France, and would be a whole different country. So we weren't founded off war. Brazil is Spanish, is it not? SO HAH!

I still win that argument. In my mind.
whee Okay, now that I've stopped angering myself and writing long rants for long rants, I call truce.

I'm going to be stubborn in this case, as persuasion is not my forte, just stating the facts and going off topic and stuff is what I do. Then, I let the person decide for themselves. It's wonderful.
So yeah. I will state who I want to win the elections, even though we'll be soon to bash her if she wins, as well. As you said earlier. : )
So I want Hilary Clinton to win. Though Obamma or whatever wouldn't be so bad either.

Clinton is barely a woman, and Obamma is more white than me. and I'm white as they get. Bill Clinton is blacker than Obamma. He's half white to begin with, cant communicate with the black people of our country, was a rich little t**t and then trys to keep with his "hoomies". I dont like any of the democrats this time round. Dean, yeah kinda liked him. but he kicked himself out. Kerry was an idiot. Bush has a higher GPA than everyone thinks, but he's an idiot too.
I cant say who I like for this year. I'm not sure yet. but I'm not old enough to vote yet, so it dosnt matter. when the time comes, I'll do my dutey, and I'll have done it the way it should be done.
