I do not believe in man-made global warming anymore....I have been on the weather forums on the farmers almanac website and the mets. and climatologist have taught me alot....The truth is that global warming started as an intense warming solar cycle back in the 80's...Now we are in a transition phase and next winter IS the start of the new cold phase...Say what you will but people like our gov't and nasa would have you believe that the arctic is melting even during the winter when in actuality its NOT! The arctic ice this summer reached a record low and all of the ice reached its complete recovery mark within about a month...Thats not global warming...You also have to take into account that only the antarctic peninsula is melting while the rest expands...There are also glaciers that continue growing...It snowed in Daytona beach early the other morning...The snowpack across canada has fully recovered, and also when scientist and climatologist talk about the effects of global warming they use the words "might," "could," "possibly," possibility" etc...Also all of the ice melting pics you see were taking during the summer...I mean, get real people its summer, summer=warm, which equals melting...Now don't give me any crap about why the ice didn't do this before the late 20th century...It was because they were in the brief cooling period of th 50's-early 80's.

I have listed my sources of "global warming is a global hoax" info in a thread were I was talking about the coming ice age.

Im not covinced because antarctica is growing, Im not convinced because it snowed in low land mexico, Im not convinced because it snowed in baghdad for the first time ever. Im not convinced because south america got hit by a blizzard in a country that is very close to the equator. Im not convinced because there use to be vikings on greenalnd that hunted in forest in 80 degree weather...Science has proof of all these things...There are many scientist too that believe the planet is going into a cooling cycle....THAT IS WHY IM NOT CONVINCED!For the record there is actually just as much proof of global cooling as there is global warming.

Ps. I can't believe that you would argue with me anyway...My profile may say im 14 but Im actually alot older and I happen to be a climatologist and scientist myself...The only reason Im up here is so I can monitor my daughters account...

I'll be completely honest and say that I really don't believe that you would be that active on Gaia if you were just monitoring your daughter's account, and I would also assume that you would have a much better sense of grammar if you are "a lot older" (even more as a scientist.) However, that's an entirely different topic. Regardless, you being older than fourteen in no way makes your opinion more valid than mine.

Again, I definitely believe that global warming includes a change of the climate worldwide. That means different parts of the world will exhibit different changes in climate. Desertification is a big problem right now, even if there was flooding in Africa. A friend of mine in China just had a very large drought last summer, and the deserts are growing. Far more scientists believe in global warming than global cooling. Finally, the "major climate change" that most people are worried about (and which you are denying) is predicted to happen in several years. Evidence of it, however, is showing now.

Finally, if you're so sure that the world is cooling, why did you claim earlier that there is currently a warming period, even if it will be ending soon?

In the end, however, of course I hope that you are right.
