Today i found out something quite shocking from an online article. That ethanol made from maize ar rapeseed could be much more harmful than gasoline because of oxide emissions, which is like 250 (about) times more harmful to the atmosphere. Sure palm oil and sugar cane is also useful. But palm oil destroys the rain forest and sugar cane can't be grown in the u.s. which is what farmers are hoping for. I don't know anymore what to stand for, because if it's only positive with sugar cane, and one of the biggest arguements we had against gas hogs is that it would help poor rural farmers AND decrease our dependency on foreign nations. Apparently that's not happening. What's your input?
