Deep in the mists of time, they were here...

Long, long ago...

"Anaira is gone. Or was gone that is. Long ago, so long ago no-one now knows for shure anymore. At least two-hundred years ago, the misfits decided to stand up for themselves..."

To fight

"They were strong. No... they were smart. They planned and planned, watching, waiting. The revolution did not happen imidietly you know. They bought land, and were able to support themselves. Then they struck..."

Chaos

"It was a joke. The Geeks were rebelling! It was an teasing name back then. No-one took them seriously. But they didn't care. They built. They were enviornmentally friendly. They gave back. They grew. They had technology rivaling our own..."

Hate

"The governments of the nations saw the threat. Speeches were given. Rants rang out from every street cornner. Anyone who looked remotely Geeky was mugged. It's no wonder so many flocked to the warm, outspread arms of the Anairan Augustus..."

Mistake

"Only a true outcast, misfit, Geek, could be allowed in. Only the beaten. Only the hated. Not the uncomfortable. The hate grew, sympathy fell, the war began..."

They left

"That was long ago. But I come to you today to anounce the impossible: They have been found."
-Colonel Arthur Sinclair, American Regime-

Storyline:
It is now the year 2371, and Humanity has spread.
Oh, how they have.
Earth is one gigantic urban sphere, with only either wasteland or city. Mars is about as thickly populated (In proportion) as Earth is today. Humanity has spread to Alpha Centuari, but no further. Contact with several alien races has happened too, but only about four. Resently, a small scout ship on a routine patrool found a dead ship, crashed on a fair sized planitiod, bearing the 'Hand of the Augustus' (An Anairan symbol). Whether it was Anairan or not is unknown, but one thing is shure: it is more advanced than anything humanity has come across yet.

After the discovery, almost every nation has sent a crew for examination of the artifact. After landing though, the ship engines mysteriouly ran out of fuel, and were unable to make the trip back. The planitiod, Sigma 9-57, was out of com-link reach, and so communitacations were impossible. The main goal of the crews now is not to examine the ship, but to find a way home.

Human Factions:

The American Regime:
Formerly the 'United States of America' until the rule of Presidant Johnathan F. Cheney, who changed it to a Dictatorship. America now rules both the Americas, certain parts of Australia, and the Seas of Tranquility on the moon. They are the most militaristic of all the factions, and also the laziest. They were the last to send a ship to investigate the wreck, and take a vested interest in the backs of their eye-lids. But be warned, say little more than a word agaisnt them, and the full blunt of their exsesive military power will fall on you!

The Eurasion Union:
Owning little more on Earth than Eastern Europe, scandinavia, and Most of Siberia, they seem of little importance, yet they have the largest and most advanced space program in knowledge. They own most of the Sol Asteriod Belt, Mercury, all of Jupiter execpt the Major and Minor red spots, and the Oort Cloud. The whole dang thing. They were the first to investigate the wreck.

The Untited European Kingdoms:
Most of Europe joined together after America left the U.N. and formed their dictatorship. They now hold the most economic power ever, and own the furthest off-world colonies of any faction, streaching to the rim of the Centauri System.

The 'Glorious' Empire of Korea:
The policies set down by Dictator Kim Jong Il II were eventually carried out. The Empire has Almost all of Asia(Not Siberia), Africa, and one third of the moon. These were gained mostly due to they're extencive nuclear program, which would have created nuclear winter during the bombings, had Anaira not interveined.

The Martian Democracy:
The Martian colonies Broke of only a few years ago. They are not popular among the other factions, but They hold the most power of trade in the system. They hold Mars, Europa, Ganamede, and other key areas forcing other factions to pay tolls to them. Out of all the factions, they have the most advanced magnetice technology, and have a few ships able to travel on magnetic power alone. It is commonly known that the Martian constitution was mainly based on the American one, and has the same holes in it. It is beleived that with fewer democracies around, Mars will fall into dictatorship even fasteer than America did.

Aliens and Their Factions:

The Bolajens
Primary Culture: The Bolagens are quiet beings, and have very strict codes of conduct. They always listen to what one has to say. They are wonderfull at conceiling emmotion, and despite their sympathetic behavior, often are striving to controll the world around them.
Technology level: Roughly same over-all level as Earth, but with extencive Bio-technology.
Apearance: The Bolajens are gas-giant inhabitants, and look strikingly like siphonophores. They have six gas chambers used for locamotion on a primary stalk, off which everything grows. Eight tenticles are used for manipulation, under which are four stomachs and a 'Gut-Sack' as Humans call it, containing other organs. They are tranluesent, but the 'Gut-Sack' has a greenish tint, and the gas chambers have an orange stripe running down each of them.
size: Three feet tall, a foot in diamiter.
Homeworld: Ne'tlog, a saturn-like world orbiting Bungala B
Government: They have a council of all their tribes once a Tynoq(Roughly two Earth months) in which all off world activities are decided apon.
Other: When first contact was made between them and Humanity, it took several decades to unlock their language, and even then it was not certain they were sentiant.

The Mut'kani
Primary Culture: These are hive-beings, each hive a single concesnes in it's own right. They have no art, no knowledge themselves. Ruled by those literaly born to lead, they have barely scratched the surface on the definition of sentiant, as set down by Earth.
Technology Level: Just over that of Modern Earth
Apearance: Similer to praying mantis's but longer, with more limbs. They are mainly yellow, but are covered with colorful frills and spikes.
size: Roughly that of a horse.
Homeworld: Mut'ka, an arid world also in the Bungala B system
Government: The entire species is a single mind, there is no need for government.
Other: Each one of them is able to mate, but will produce only three offspring each.

Tset'foth
Primary Culture: They are a very spiritual people, the Tset'foth. They often wear long robes, and much jewelry. They are secretive though, and do not like off worlders delving into either their history or their culture.
Technology level: Though they have the technology of Humans in cities, those outside of the cities live a primitive, non-industrial life.
Apearance: Tset foth
size: Man-sized
Homeworld: Luutri, a world of varied terrain(silmiler to Earth) in the Delta Gemini system.
Government: They are ruled by an ancient council, whose members lives each streach back at least one-hundred fifty years at least. They have no seperate factions.
Other: They consider humans slow, and backwords, while humans find them the same way!

More to come!

7. No god-modding, but you may have control over extras(Non-charactors).
8. You will do what I say, and when I say it! Is that clear?!
9. You will not for any reason, under any circumstances have control over an Anairan, unless you are on the white list.

Charactors(of which you may keep up to three):

Quote:
Gaia Name: Rex Tenebrarum
Charactor's Name: Ti'noq G'kar
Race: Bolagen
Faction: The Bolagen Council
Personality: Ti'noq is very industrus, but cares little for humanity. He does not hate them, but merely dismisses them as 'a ridiculus waste of bio-genetic matirial!' He Loves to read, and is often found in his quarters, sensing the chemicals that Bolagens use instead of phonetics, into his skin.
Past Expiriances: He is actually quite young, only 31 years. He was always striving to gain approval by the council, by studying harder than any of his clutch-mates. He had little intrest in the assignment until he learned that the Council itself had chosen him for it, and he plans to both return home safely, but also with the assignment complete.
Appearance: His tenticles are longer than normal, and are slightly purplish. His 'Gut-Sack' is relitively smaller than that of most Bolagens.
Weapons A small, emergency taser-like machine, called a G'kwan.
Other: People make fun of him behind his back, calling him "El'tsa Tran Ti'noq," Roughly translating to, "Timid, Tireless, Ti'noq."

Quote:
Gaia Name: Nickstermin8r
Charactor's Name: 1015229114 (Serial Code. Most call him. . . it. . . Jovian)
Race: It is a robot.
Faction: No faction, really. He's too new to Sigma 9-57 to be of a faction.
Personality: Male personality. As a newcomer to Sigma 9-57 (And, apparently, any biological beings), he is unused to any normal customs, and doesn't know what most of anything is used for. Very quirky, and charming, in his own cold and heartless way. He. . . it. . . has a very dry sense of humor, and for no apparent reason, has a vague British accent. He seems to enjoy the company of just about anything, and often would prefer not to fight.
Past Expiriances: He refuses not to tell. All that is known thus far is that he. . . it. . . crashlanded on Sigma 9-57 not long ago.
Appearance: He. . . it. . . appears to be made mostly of scrap, or parts taken from other mechs. Some are recognizable, others are foreign. In his. . . its. . . first appearance, it had no armor whatsoever on the limbs, leaving all the wires exposed, and a rudimentary tan chassis over the torso. The head composed of a large, square screen, which was the photoreceptor. The chassis is completely covered with carved markings of an unknown origin. Whenever new armor is added, Jovian will carve additional signs onto the new, unmarked piece.
Weapons: Servo-strength ('cause mech limbs are stronger than bones) and any added weaponry. Since the primary core cannot put out enough energy to supply too many weapons, when one is added, one must be taken off. Or two, depending on the power. The only permanent weapon is a non-lethal laser-cutter device stored in the right finger, which is used only for carving the alien markings. It could be lethal, if he had any desire to kill.
Other: He often upgrades himself, and is upgraded nearly every standard Earth week. Most upgrades are no more than cosmetic, but several include weapon changes. No up-grades have been made as of this entry. Additionally, for no apparent reason, a massive playlist of nearly ever Earth song is stored onto his head, and they are played constantly at random speeds (normal to superfast) and pitches (well below and above the human hearing range)
