Hello, and welcome to the Gaian Chess Organization! We want everyone to have fun, but we also want everyone to follow the rules so everything can go smoothly. So please look over everything.
First off, this guild is open to chess players of all skill levels. Some of you are advanced and others might have just started playing. I think it's important to be respectful of those still learning. Please be polite to one another.
I would consider us to be a semi-literature guild. You don't have to be perfect with grammar and spelling, but if your posts are barely legible I'll consider them spam.
Speaking of spam, please try to stay on topic. I'm pretty casual and I know I go off topic a lot, but we should at least try to keep ourselves on the topic of chess, unless it's in a topic marked clearly for something else (like the introduction thread).
Repeat topics will be deleted. Before making a new thread, look around and make sure there isn't already one like it.
We're all into chess here, and maybe you found a hot chess porn on the Internet that you're dying to share with us! Don't! Please keep it PG-13 and follow Gaia's TOS. xd

So the rules are pretty black and white, huh? (Lame. sweatdrop ) If anyone has any other suggestions for rules that they think should be added, please PM me or let me know somehow.

Are you ready to get your chess on? Here's what you need to know and do!
-Our official guild chess board is located in Barton 001060.
-After choosing or being assigned a piece, please dress appropriately:
-Bulky items like Wild Things and Summoning Tome dragons should be removed so that you don't take up too much room or block other pieces. This should expand to also include backgrounds and excessively bulky hairstyles and weaponry.
-Items that take over your avatar completely like the Grunny (you are grunny) pose are not allowed when participating. (This includes ANY 'I am' pose.)
-You're not required to wear the items from the chess set. You should, however, dress in your team colors.
-If you're on the black team your avatar should be dressed primarily in black and red.
-If you're on the white team your avatar should be dressed primarily in white and blue.
-You should try to look as much like the piece you're representing as possible to avoid confusion. For more on how to dress, please visit the outfit suggestion thread here.
-While participating in a game, please try to stay on your square! The games can get confusing so it's important not to leave your spot unless you're told.
-Also, when playing there will always be the person who will run across the board and interfere with the game, the best thing to do is to ignore them and since we are all dressed up it should be easy to tell who is on what team and who is playing.
