Creation deals with the attempting to answer the question, "Where did I and the rest of the universe come from?" Evolution provides the idea that original matter was formed by unknown means into the first living organism. From this DNA and RNA were simultaneously formed so as to further life and kick start the evolutionary process of heredity and natural selection through the process of reproduction. It's the equivalent of a laptop computer on the top of Mt. Everest being formed by nothing but time and probability.
However, Creationism (metaphorically speaking) provides the man who built the laptop. An unknown being whom provided a kick start to life, creating a source for the first cell, DNA strand, and micro organism. However, there is no way to prove the existence or "unexistence" of this "god" figure.
Both hold noticeable and serious flaws; both contain logic and understanding of scientific law.
To be clear, I am only addressing the thoughts on the origins of the universe, not the methods used to shape it (such as the debates on the validity of literal 7 day creation or gradual evolution) .
With both reasonably possible, why should it be considered more or less "intellectual" to hold the belief of one over the other?
