this is exactly what the title suggests, say what your favorite is, and quote it (any version is okay). if you want, also tell what it means to you and/or why it is your favorite. also if you come across a passage the really speaks to you or if you have more than one favorite tell about that to smile

my favorite is obviously my signature, Luke 20:38 for he is not a God of the dead but of the living, for all live who come to Him.
-to me this is Gods love and a mission in one. when it says that He is a God of the living that says to me that He's here for me now (unlike Greek mythology when the only time those gods give a crap about you is when hades has gotta throw your dead but into the underworld[what? i took Greek mythology last year]). it goes beyond that though, the second part, for all live who come to Him, says to me that even when my physical self dies im still gonna be alive and He's still going to be there for me. also it's probably just me but i also see the second part as Luke saying like, "'who come to Him' so if we want people to live we should show them who God is and see if we can get them to come to Him". thanks to anyone who read this whole thing, i feel like i just did a sermon, but that's probably because im 16. i know i said alot but i was feelin Jesus when i was typing this!

Psalm 25:7~ Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O Lord.

This verse really speaks to me. I was a very... unpleasant kid. And I've done a few things that I wish I hadn't. But, reading this verse -and similar verses- has shown me that God will not hold my pass sins against me, for through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been forgiven. And, I don't need to keep punishing myself for things in the past, because God Himself has forgiven me.

1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

1 Peter 3:4
rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a meek and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

obviously, my username is in there. i luv this verse cuz it really helps me to put down my flesh in vanity.

~Wow! I didn't know that your username went to a scripture verse! That's really cool.

We could be twins! ^_^ My username goes to Matthew 5:13 and Mark 9:50.

For you are the salt of the earth.
"Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other."

Obviously my favorite verse-so far- is 1 Timothy 4:12.

Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

I guess that says i'm never to little to make a big change in the world if I just be an example to those around me.

I also love the verse 1Peter 3:3-4
it's already posted above by meek_and_quiet.
but my bible says:

Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from withing, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious to God.

Lately. This has been the verse that I've been clinging to.

Colosians 3:15
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts, deciding and settling with finality all the questions that arise in your minds.

I really love it, just reading it assures me and helps me relax.

I have many favorites or that speak to me just when I need it, but the one that kind of sticks out over the rest..

"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13

With God we are strong, on our own we are fragile and easily broken. I like this because in that small phrase are volumes of nuggets of truth.

Trust.. faith.. love.. surrender.. true strength.. determination.. hope.

Well, my username or signature being inspired by a verse isn't quite as obvious as the rest of you, but it's there. (Minus the signature part)

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will." -Romans 12:2

My name comes from two parts of something that take an uber long time to explain, yet they still tie into the verse. XD
My other favorite is the one speaking of the narrow and wide gates, and another one I can't remember right now. DX

I sort of cheated, since one of my favorite verses actually is 3.

Jonah 2:7-9
"7When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, LORD, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. 8 Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. 9 But I, with a song of thangksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the LORD."

I really love the book of Jonah, because I can really identify with him. I see a lot of myself in him. I was reading the Bible, and then came across this verse, and it sort of hit me that I had been clinging to my own "worthless idols" of sorts, and put God on the backburner. It made me come to the realization that obsessing over these things was simply making my life more difficult, and when I turned my life back to the Lord, everything sort of straightened itself out.
