Mmkay, so, I've been kind of pondering this whole Sukka thing as of late.
It could be my crazy Tokka-shipping, but doesn't it seem a little strange that they 'love' each other after four days (looked it up in the transcripts, it's a fact) of being with each other? FOUR DAYS. That's how long they've been together.
True, you could call to attention the fact that one of the main canon ships in the show, Kataang, started when Aang spotted Katara, FIRST DANG THING. However! They've known each other, nay, LIVED with each other, for months on end. I'd say they have a pretty good idea of who the other is.
But with Sukka... it seems a little Romeo and Juliet-esque to me... minus the family rivalry and such. They know each other for under a week, and they're supposedly in love with each other? It sounds to me more like lust.
It is true that love blossoms from lust. Indeed, every relationship that there ever was started with lust. However, I think it's a little early to be making the wedding arrangements for Suki and Sokka.
For me to actually LIKE the ship (it is possible, I don't dislike it), I'd need to see more. I need to see more Suki-Sokka interaction, bonding, GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER, etc.
What are your thoughts on this matter?
I'd like to request thought-out responses other than just, "SUKKA IS AWESOME," or, "I HOPE DAT b***h DIEZ, TOKKA 4EVER."

I think saying their romance was lust is a tad harsh. You must keep in mind that they're teenagers. At that age, the second you get butterflies in your stomach, it's love. Their relationship was founded on a grudging respect for each other and then progressed from there. Once there was respect, everything else fell into place.
What Sokka and Suki had was a puppy love. I'm tempted to say it had time to develop into something more, but what took the show two full seasons to pump out was really just a few months for them so I'd say it was still just puppy love.

In Sokka/Suki's defense, they didnt technically fall in love in 4 CONSECUTIVE days. They had a long break from each other after they first met, and you know what they say about that:
"Distance makes the heart grow fonder".
I may be totally wrong about this but even though they didnt spend much time together, they had to overcome quite a bit in that time [Sokka's stubborness/sexist ways, the death of Yue]
