Just got my navel pierced today, and now, I'm wondering... About how long before I can change it?

Generally your piercer should explain this to you but here you go.... *Broken record* rolleyes 3 months for a plain, non-dangly ring, and at least 6 months for anything with large charms or large stones or even something that may have a likely-hood of getting caught on things.

Sorry... My peircer basically just said 'you'll know when it's healed' which doesn't help because I'm really stupid about that kind of thing.
For my starter jewelry, I have a barbell (14 gague, I believe) rather than a ring. I've accidentally bumped it a time or two, but haven't actually caught it on anything. It's no longer particularly sore, and hasn't turned red, which I'm assuming is a good thing.

That is good! You do NOT ever want a ring in your belly... especially while it is healing. Everything else does sound good! Happy healing!

So I've heard. What about circular barbells or twists once it's healed?

Twist barbells.. What? That doesn't sound like it should be in your navel.

I thought I'd heard of them being used for navels. By twist barbell, I mean something like This.
