Name: Caleb Dantes Gender: Male Skin Tone: Pale caucasian-ish Hair: Black, falls past his hips, straight and fine. Eye Color: Turquoise blue Age: 17 Heritage: half-blood Japanese (Japanese mother, British father) Distinguishing Marks: None, but usually easily distinguished by his hair and clothing. Talents: Hacking, brawling / street fighting, studying. Weapon Of Choice: Fists, small easily-concealed knives, two-by-fours Casual Attire: Tight black pants, heavy black boots (not tall boots), mesh or thin shirts. Prefers shirts to look slightly feminine in style. Black is his preferred colour, though he'll accept one item a different colour (eg. will wear a blue top with black pants, or other pants with a black top). Likes to wear lots of silver or black jewellery. All in all, he dresses rather androgynously, though never actually tries to hide the fact that he's male. (Also, he never actually cross-dresses, and doesn't wear make-up - unless there's some kind of Halloween party, or his parents are visiting and he wants to freak them out.) Uniform: Skipped ahead several grades when he was younger, Caleb is in college despite only being 17. He avoids the plaid like the plague, wearing navy pants and the white shirt. Instead of a tie he wears a thin leather strip wound around his neck several times, overlapping in places. Heavy boots take the place of socks and shoes. He likes the school beret, but doesn't wear it with the actual uniform, only with casual clothes. Favorite Colors: Silver, black, blue. Favorite Foods: White chocolate, pizzamon (nikumon with pizza filling), cheese pizza. Dislikes: Being stuck in classes or company beneath his education level, being away from a computer for extended periods of time, boredom. Fears: Living in boredom with nothing to challenge him, being forced into the lifestyle of his parents (ie. becoming a rich socialite or businessman), absolute darkness (he usually leaves the computer going at night so there's a faint glow in the room). Personality: Stand-offish and sarcastic, he doesn't try overly hard to make friends. He finds most kids his own age too stupid and immature, and those at his intellectual level patronise him because of his age. Computers have always been his refuge - it's his playground where he rules, so he tends to isolate himself away with computers whenever possible. He has few friends, and most of the ones he does have he mainly communicates with, or knows from, online. He's very private, and not as immune to barbs from others as he tries to appear. He doesn't get along with his parents, who have never quite known what to do with a son who won't behave or conform. Relations deteriorated to the point where they try to force him to pretend to be the perfect son they always wanted, and he'll do just about anything to piss them off - gangs, fighting, hacking, dressing the way he does... His studying is the one thing they approve of, which normally would make Caleb stop, but he can't stand being so bored so as long as he was allowed to skip some grades in middle school, he's willing to keep educating himself.

Father: Stephen Dantes Stephen Dantes is a British businessman who moved to Japan twenty two years ago to work in the Tokyo branch of the large electronics company he works for. He has a strict work ethic, which helped him climb the corporate ladder. Along the way he met, and fell in love with, Caleb's mother who was the daughter of one of their business associates. They married and Stephen became a permanent member of the Tokyo branch, eventually working his way up to being on the executive board. He has little in common with his son and it shows in their relationship. Despite the fact that it was likely Stephen bringing home products that got Caleb hooked on computers, Stephen has no interest in the products his company creates, only in doing his best for the company. He is particularly enraged by Caleb's habit of wearing feminine clothes at times and appearing less than completely masculine, but he's rarely around to notice. He spends most of his time in the office, or away on trips - not an exemplorary father, no matter how well he provides for his family. Mother: Yuka Dantes, nee. Matsuno The only daughter of a business associate of Stephen Dantes, Yuka was not the easiest bride to win. This was no fault of her own, more to do with an overprotective father and several older brothers. In fact, had it not been for her own adamant desire to date and wed the English gaijin, the relationship would never have come to pass. Despite being a typical stay-at-home Japanese wife, Yuka is actually the one responsible for passing the genes for a genius on to her son. While her husband is smart, Yuka is a consumate manipulator, playing gentle politics with a silken glove that never alerts her family, husband or his associates that they are following her whims. She is a savvy business woman and much of her husband's success can be attributed to her. As the one who has spent the most time around Caleb, she understands him slightly better than her husband. She doesn't approve, and is left by default to be the one to try and correct Caleb's ways. But she also sees more of his behaviour than her husband, and so knows - or suspects - several of his secrets. The reverse is also true - as he pays no attention to his mother's manipulations, Caleb is the only one to receive sharp words and bursts of anger from Yuka.

Blah, will work on typing this out. It's worth noting that Caleb is something of a male lolita. He's aware of his appearance and started banking on it some time ago, after noting the reactions he could get from his father's male business associates and social acquaintances. He's never slept with any of them or done anything overly sexual, but he can get several of them to do him special favours in payment for coquettish smiles and showing some skin (usually off-the-shoulder tops, or high-cut shirts with low-riding pants - shorts were also very popular when he was younger).

Key: USB memory stick Command: "Execute." Magic Abilities:Caleb has next to no magic ability or potential. In fact, he has less potential than your average person on the streets with no idea that magic exists. While Caleb is aware of magic and even has a Card, he can do nothing beyond wielding any Cards he captures. His only "magic" is what he can do with computers and technology - quite a strange young man to become a Card Captor/Master.

Name: Somei Type: The Sakura Mask Subtype: Illusion Abilities: He has the power of illusion, ala the ability to mask his guardian or himself and cause mischief. The card is free spirited and loving and often has the faint smell of cherry blossoms when it's around. Quirks: Somei has no voice. He does not speak in words, but in the sounds of nature, leaves, branches - basically, only the noises that a sakura tree would produce in nature. Additionally, he spends much of his time unsealed accompanying Caleb. It is only when Caleb goes to bed or around large groups of people that Caleb will seal Somei back to Card form.

School Accommodations: As a college student, Caleb is lucky enough to have single dorm room - at least for the moment. His room contains the usual single bed and single desk, though it's hard to make out the desk under all the computer equipment. His clothes spill out of the tiny wardrobe, ending up in piles over the floor and hung over the end of the bed, on his chair, over lamps... There's a slight method to the madness: Caleb knows where every piece of computer and electrical equipment is. Anything else is anyone's guess. School is where Caleb goes to avoid home - suffice to say, he can be found in his dorm during most holidays. Any visits home are at the strict request (ie. order) of his mother, or because Caleb needs to arrange a favour from a male gentlemen back home. Even so, he keeps his visits as brief as possible. Family Home: Home for the Dantes' is a luxurious apartment in one of Tokyo's outer suburbs, away from the superficiality and tourism of the capital's centre. Located in a high class neighbourhood and a high class apartment complex, it manages to have almost as many rooms as your typical Japanese house. To Caleb, it has always felt like more of a display house or hotel room than a home. Caleb's room is a darkened warren of monitors and electrical wires. It would take a visitor several minutes to locate a bed in his room, hidden under the mass of technological delights. Caleb, Yuka and Stephen live alone in the apartment. Yuka's father and several of her brothers live in the family's traditional, ancestral home. Yuka moved out after her marriage (as have some of her brothers), but the three Dantes' still visit the house often. For Caleb, it is the only place worse than home, as here he is expected to conform to traditional Japanese manners and customs. That, and it's damn weird to be in a house that has no tv or computers.
