"Adapted from the best-selling novel by author Stephenie Meyer, Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown director Catherine Hardwicke's supernatural teen drama tells the tale of Bella (Kristen Stewart), a 17-year-old girl who moves to a small town to live with her father and becomes enamored with a pale classmate (Robert Pattinson) descended from a long line of noble vampires. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide"
I took this from the Twilight page on MTV movies. If that's actually the premise of the movie... that he actually 'descended' from other vampires in the sense they are implying, then doesn't it just undermine Stephenie Meyer's insane creativity when it comes to her vampires? I really liked that she had a fresh take on them, like how the vampires don't descend from any other lines of vampires.
Then I thought, maybe they are using Stephenie Meyer's way, they just want to make it sound more appealing to audiences who don't understand her type of vampires. It still sort of annoys me though. ._.
Anyway, maybe I'm interpreting it wrong. I don't know. But I just really hope that they aren't going to make it into a generic vampire movie.
