Rohin groaned and sat up from his position on the hard ground. For all of it's protection from elements it sure wasn't comfy. Getting up he stretched out his muscles and moved out of his cave near the base of the mountains. One thing was sure while he was out today he had to find something to use for bedding.

He climbed down the rocky slope below the entrance and slid to the dirt and grassy floor. Following his usual path he headed towards a stream to quench his thirst

Kain had woken early that morning, as he always tended to do. Being a Tae that wondered a lot and never gained his own territory meant that he had to been more aware of his surroundings. If he slept in with trespassing on another territory things could get ugly. He’d never actually encountered another Tae that wished to fight him, but he was always prepared for such happening still.

Traveling along a narrow path that followed a stream the male searched for his morning meal. He didn’t see any signs that anyone else actually lived in this area. Maybe he should take it as his own? Why not, after all he had traveled most of the land and really this place was as good as the next. There was nothing special about any of the places he had been too. No one that he had met interested him. They where all the same, boring and far to annoying for his taste.

Stopping his movements he looked over a small pool that formed in the stream, where the land flattened just enough for the water to rest some. Eyeing this Kain thought a moment before nodding to himself and stepping forwards. His first paw dipped into the water before he pulled it back out and shook it. Water was a little cooler then he was expecting, but moving forwards slowly he allowed the cool liquid to cover his fur. The pool wasn’t deep, it covered him back and shoulders but with his feet still on the bottom head was above the water as well as the end of his tail.

The tiger Tae preferred the solitude around his home. No one to bug him. No one to question his preferences or his attitude. If he did find someone taking up residence he would have to make his own cave more secure to the invader.

There were no trails leading remotely close to his home though by now the grass left an light impression of movement. Breaking off a few leaves from a branch he pieced them together with a vine from the wild strawberry patch hidding snugly between some trees. He munched on a few then pulled his makeshift shade over his head, holding the end in his teeth. It was warm this day and he didn't want anything to mess up his fur. Slinking through trees wandering off path he came to the stream and bent at the bank. Before he could push his shade into the soft mud so he could drink, he smelt it. Faint on the air, very faint.

Fur prickling Rohin went to investigate.

Dunking himself under the water the white tiger like male swam across the stream and back again before surfacing. Shacking his head he sent the water that had been dripping into his eyes flying about. Opening them his ears perked at the sound of paws padding against the ground. A low growl left his throat at the thought that this may just be another’s territory. Even if it was merely another Tae passing through he didn’t feel like having unwanted company. Judging which side of the pool the other was approaching on me moved the that side. Using the over hang of the pool edge as cover he remained still. He wasn’t hiding, just staying out of sight. He really didn’t need to be caught up in another pointless and unending conversation with yet another loser.

Stopping in step he looked a little puzzled. The scent had become stronger then suddenly faded. Ears pricking he crept further downstream keeping to the shadows as best he could. Unfortunately his orange stripes weren't much for camoflauge at all. He found himself behind a bush, peering through it upon the intruder, golden orange eyes locked on the white and rainbow tae.

Suddenly he lost his interest, letting out a "Feh" loud enough for the other to catch before prancing off to find more food. Rohin could care less as long as the other didn't pick a fight. Then he would have good reason to run him off. He fained disinterest, stalking more berries in their almost hidden locations near the stream.

Waiting where he was he could head paw steps, but he couldn’t see the other. From where he was she could smell the male, and when the sounds of steps stopped he knew he was being watched but still couldn’t see the male. It wasn’t until Rohin made and noise and wondered off that Kain go to see the orange stripped Tae though not well. He waited to see if the male would return and was glad when he didn’t, going back to swimming. It was another half an hour before he pulled himself from the watch and shook off. His now clean and pure white fur glistening in the rays of sun making it through the canopy and onto his back. His rainbowed tiger like strips stood out against the white well. Walking he looked for somewhere to dry off, coming upon a small clearing big enough for two or three adult Taes to rest in. He laid himself out in the center and closed his eyes. Her he woud dry and catch a small nap.

Feeling his stomach heavier with a bountiful meal of berries, Rohin walked back to the stream. The other tae would just have to excuse him for wanting to be clean as well. Stepping back to the location where he had seen the white tae he noticed they weren't there. He slid into the water and sighed, swimming around and rinsing out his fur.

Once satisfied he was clean he jumped out of the water and shook off, spraying water everywhere. His fur sticking out in short spikes. He started back towards his cave up north. Again his sense of smell caught the other, this time more aware of the gender. A grin played across his muzzle and he followed it. This time he didn't spy on him, lunging out into the field and pouncing on the unsuspecting stranger giving no warning before landing. His fur was still damp getting the other handsome male damp all over again in Rohin's playful greeting. "Well lookie here I caught one after all" he spoke more to himself then the other.

Drifting off slightly in the warmth of the sun, Kain hadn’t noticed the other males approach at all. The weight that landed on him caused his eyes to shoot open but as they did small water droplets fell into the red orbs. She squinted and rolled over as he heard the males voice, knocking the other off of him. Springing to his feet he jumped away before turning to Rohin, blinking the blur from him eyes as he growled slightly in his throat. Glaring at the other tiger like male he looked Rohin up and down. What the hell is you're problem?

Rohin chuckled expecting the other to push him off, jumping back and allowing the male space. He smirked slowly circling the white and rainbow male. He hadn't quite expected that spectacular view which he fully settled his golden eyes on. "I would say it's you. But now.. hmm not so sure" he responded with a chuckle. His orange stripes rippled over natural muscle with his movement. "What brings you out this way? Surely you have some reason to lounge in another's territory like you own the place." A brow raised as he stopped, turning to face him fully in a calm stance.

Kain raised an eye brow a little, staring a moment before blinking finally. He wasn’t quiet sure what the male had meant by his first statement but he also wasn’t sure he wanted to know. Narrowing his eyes the rainbow male grinned. He noticed the natural muscle tone below the strips of orange and figured this male had followed his scent, hoping for a fight. Taking a casual seat he ignored the first question and went straight to the fun part. What would you say if I told you I planned to make it my own? What would you do?

The darker male grinned. He was like a breath of fresh air compared to the one other male he had bumped into. The poor thing found out quickly which gender Rohin took a liking too and split. He was too cute and innocent anyway. "I would ask if you would be my mate. I much prefer sharing it that way then fighting. Too.. cliche to fight over land." The ever present smile would make it difficult to tell if he was joking. In all actuality Rohin would prefer to run squealing and just pounce him again and roll around like kits.

Kain was taken aback by the other male’s words. He’d had females try to become his mate, but never a male. He made himself stay in place and sounding calm, but his eyes gave a moment of showing his shock. Hmph... I actually find it enjoyable. And, if you really are this lands Master, them to keep it you will have to defeat me. Raising to his feet again he stepped forwards. Kain stood just a little taller than Rohin. In his travel he had grown stronger, fighting others to keep up his strength. Upon a close look of his fur there where thin lines here and there. Old scars from battles long since left behind. He wasn’t afraid to fight for what he wanted and believed he deserved.

Rohin let that one sink in, about to sit down when the other spoke. "Defeat you? Is that what you call it?" He asked still playful. It didn't escape him the other male was serious. Something about those symbols of strength he carried was impressive. "Now I don't mind dirtying my fur. I'll try not to be rough" he bit back a chuckle, advancing on the male. His tail swayed behind him now staring into the eyes of the bigger male within close range.

Some of Kain had actually expected the other male to turn and run. After all he didn’t seem like the fighting type. But either way Kain didn’t care. He walked around the other a little, eyeing him. Sizing him up and looking for weak points. His next movements where quick, remarkable quick. His paw shifted underneath him as he through dust up into Rohin’s eyes. His next move was too bat at the others head, though he wasn’t other male was made of before going to far.

Watching him carefully he fought back a huff when the male started to circle. Obviously he wasn't going to get out of this through charm. Rohin might not prefer fighting but he wasn't scrawny. The darker tiger kept himself fit for just such instances where a male decided he had to be tougher.

He flinched when the other male kicked up dust, still getting a face full no matter how quick he tried to look away. What a dirty player he muttered to himself. Growling now, he was irritated. If this guy was gonna fight he could do more then this surely and it riled him up. Shifting towards him, Rohin lunged to tackle him off his feet. In a different situation he might have scoffed at the idea of dirtying the other male's beautiful fur.
