Heya. I am Medb Mayfair. I am a new member. And I feel welcome. You know, especially with the talk of mass murder and all. it's like Christmas all over again!
I like stuff. In general, that is. Mainly the stuff I like. So yeah.
I draw a lot. You can see that in my profile, though none of it's that recent. And I'm currently working on converting the Tain into a manga.

Hi. I'm Ninny17. I guess you could say I'm a major nerd. I'm an avid reader, and an aspiring astrophysicist. I am an obsessed Harry Potter fan, almost as much as I am a Lord of the Rings fan. I love science and math, especially chemistry, quantum physics, and astrophysics/cosmology. I listen to a variety of music, but my favorites are typically alternative or classical. One of my favorite pasttimes is debating, seeing that I have strong opinions regarding current issues, and I always use facts to support my opinions. =) (People who just say because it's in the bible or say because drive me insane) So I guess, hello all. whee

Hello all! I'm Laura, and I love a wide variety of things. Music, books, dancing, science, language... it's all good. My ultimate goal is to travel the world helping people wherever I can. After college I plan to join the Peace Corps and live in poverty in a variety of third world countries because I think too many people just jump in and try and help people without really knowing what they actually go through/need/want. I need to live in poverty for a year or two at the very least. I am an extrovert struggling to overcome the last residues of shyness that have plagues me since forever, and cling to my person in the form of adequate public speaking (unless I'm acting in a play - apparently, I can speak well when I'm anyone but myself) which drives me nuts due to my dreams of being a great public speaker. I've taken a speech class but I think I need several more. Practice makes perfect builds character! I'm on a constant real-life quest to: Become physically stronger Become mentally stronger Gain knowledge Over-think everything Save the world Become wise Enlighten myself
@ Ninny17 - Coolness! I'm really interested by physics and science and such, but I'm not very quick when it comes to mathematics (I can so it, but it doesn't come very naturally). Also, trying to figure some of that stuff out boggles my mind and it all leads back to "How the heck does everything exist?" I'm actually really into philosophy, because I'm better at that for some reason. At least, I think I am; but honestly, can one really say they're good at philosophy? Probably not. In that case, I'm not much good at anything but languages. xd But I think science should play a very important role in philosophy and pretty much everything else there is. ... Please feel free to enlighten me on something cool.

Hi! Please call me Ula. I feel a bit old on Gaia, as I'm 23, but I've some good friends here and when I log in that's why.
I'm a cisco major, aiming to take the CCNA and graduate next fall, with computer science as my ex-major-now-minor.
I am a game junkie (currently in the pit of withdrawl since school takes precedent), and I love italian motorscooters, driving obscene distances to see concerts, and tattoos. Hmm that's.. a wierd medley.. but it works for me I suppose.
Glad to meet you all!

Hello, I am Trux-Dea, and I am a Nature Extremist. My username means Ferocious Goddess in Latin. I am interested in different cultures, politics, enviromental discussions, and the current overall state of the world. Furthermore, I like to consider myself to be open-minded to new ideas, and I hope that stands to be true.
I am currently trying to raise funds to create my own guild called Earths Army, but it is not going well.
I am always a interested listener, although I am usually shy, and I greatly enjoy learning new facts, and ideas. I love to discuss real-life topics like the "Mozart Affect" and rules for living long and growing wise. Such things have always interested me.
Oh, and if you are interested in getting to know me I suppose you could call me by my nickname; Trixie.

Thats how I got ensnared... Comic Hunter heard Gordon Lightfoot on my profile xD
Right. So, my beliefs and such in a snapshot...
I am 18, a Senior in high school, and graduate in May (Hallelujah). I have extremely eclectic taste in music, and appreciate Pre-Raphaelite art, as well as High Renaissance. I am rather disdainful of modern "art". I just don't see the creativity or skill in randomly splattering paint or painting multicolored boxes. I am a voracious reader, devouring books rather indiscriminately. I am passionate about Shakespeare, and adore fantasy as well as nonfiction. My latest read is "A Dab of Dickens and a Touch of Twain" a collection of humorous lectures on the literary greats. I can be unintentionally offensive when attempting to be funny, and have an excellent sense of humor. I love singing, and am currently in a madrigal choir. I have volunteered for years at a living history museum and hope to be a history professor. I'm tall and a little bossy in the Hermione Granger style.
Thats all I can think of for now xD

I have to say that I can't enjoy the modern "cubic" art at all. It's weird when people explain how all the world can be found in a picture with red and blue boxes in it..
I just came in to say that if you like reading any "lighter" stuff, try Erlend Loe. His from..norway, I think. He is amazing!
