the one thing that pisses me off above all others is if you get like all A's on your report card except for one B and your parents, instead of congratulating you, yell at your for getting a B instead of another A. then they go on this big long rant about how if you dont do good in school then your gonna be a loser in life. i have friends that has happened to. and i just pisses me off. im mean, jesus, how is getting a B gonna leave you flipping burgers at McDonalds?? i kick a** on tests and am totally apathetic about my dialy work so my tests say genius while daily work says average. and then because of my tests my teachers expect me to give a s**t about daily work. but it wont matter, i know what i want to do and what i need to do it. ill join the army for free colledge. and taduh, im doing my dream job. now look at my friends. they end up doing what they want but they had to put up with super high expectations all thier life. who is happier?

I've learned to hide in my room when that sorta thing is is going on.
Of course my parents tolerate gettingv A's and B's. I suggests getting a twin brother and doing better then him at most classes it lightens the weight off of you for a bit.

I was lucky.. my older brother always has had difficulty with school. But he is interested in the material and shows that he's intelligent, so my parents don't harass him too much over his grades. Since I came after, and got better grades, they were always happy to have report cards with 80s and 90s [and even the odd 100]. But for me it was never a "I have to get better grades," I just payed attention in class and wrote the tests. Sometimes I'd do homework. School just comes naturally to me, I guess.

if i honestly applied myself i could skip a couple grades. but i jsut dont give a damn. so my grades are average. i dont want to fail, i just have no ambition to do well in school. and tests are easy, thats why i always score at least 95%.

School certainly doesn't tend to provide much motivation, that's for sure. Just pay attention in class and you should be good. *shrug* no application needed, really. 'Least not until college. That's a hell of a transition. Homework makes up like 90% of the grade, though usually that's made up of a few essays... but still. It's so much nicer when you can just go to class, write the tests, and pass.

I just let my grades drop to C's and maybe a D. Soon after she stopped harassing me so i simply raised them back up. I would seriously think about the army though.. To be used like a pawn, or for things not really worth doing..meh. I was reading about the holocaust earlier this year and due to that time period soldiers who follow leaders orders and do the "wrong" thing get beamed for it, but if the soldier doesn't do it they get court Marshalled. Either way its a lose lose. Look carefully under which section you get into.

I always do well in school b/c I do my homework....not because I do well on tests. I'm going to fail college because in most classes the only things that account for your grade is the midterm and the final. I can't do well on tests, which is why I always end up with only a 95% A. I can learn and understand the material and still fail the test. My parents don't care about my grades at all; they're just happy that I'm not failing and that i want to go to college. My mom was the first person in her family that went to college, so that'll make her happy. I've only ever made 2 B's.

I coasted through high school. Graduated with a 2.4-ish GPA. How is it going to destroy my future? Not at all, it's why they invented community college ;]
