Well we had a family of birds take nest in our shed.. we though it awfuly cute...
but we have a cat and a golden retrever...
now their learning to fly.. and i kid you not my dog jumped into the air and cought the darn baby bird! she let it go after we horifieddly screamed at her.. but we dare not try to find it after it sucrred away. about three hours later i set my foot down in my living room only to be greated with a cold wet thing... i hoped it to be vomit or a wet toy... no..
it was the baby bird...
and we found another this morning under our dinning room table..
lest to say we wont be having birds back anytime soon

Aww, that's how it is here.
My dog is a lab/retriever and acts like a giant cat. She chases birds, lizards, anything... and if my cat brings something in, the dog will get it and chew it up and leave it wherever she feels best. Usually at the bottom of the stairs or in the kitchen.

Sadness to be possibly added. I have a terrible feeling that my cat's mom's newest kittens were killed by a raccoon up at the farm. We haven't seen them around and her tummy is dry with no milk. She does have her nipples bare and showing though. Fingers crossed for them. I'll keep you updated.

My dog never wants to actually kill an animal. He just wants to play with it. So when the animal dies my dog gets all depressed and wonders why it stopped moving.
