because it slowly evolved from something else and then laid the egg that was the final eveolution stage of what we know as a chicken

Wow, just a little into depth. BUT, your wrong! WRONG I SAYS!!
It goes like this:
Once apon atime aliens came to earth and they found a white rock. So they took it and did stange and ew stuff to it. They ended up injecting a yellow thing into the egg then they took it back to earth put it back and went away. About 100 years later a thingy came out from the rock. It was a chicken!! And the white rock was really an EGG!!
So, the egg DID come first. Ha
