Oh, just so you know, your character is the only one that I've had any thought of fear & discomfort over & it has nothing to do with anything I've heard Kyle(Frozen in Flames) tell me about IRL, but because of what I've seen on the sheet, because I myself can think of plenty to do with it...
Calmly takes out both a a tanglefootbag & the waterskin(okay, YOU know what is in that, but your character doesn't, keep that in mind) with the skins top pulled of & walks 5 feet to his left, still looking in your direction.

Stephan takes his tower shield and, as he did in the last duel, holds it highly protectively in front of him. He reaches into a belt pouch and withdraws a small vial, which he uncorks and decants into his mouth. Immediately, his muscles bulge against the skin a little tighter than before.
Thanks for the compliment. In truth, although I am not frightened of your charecter, I thought you'd make a better opponent than BladeCast's charecter; evasion and a descent reflex save takes care of roughly half of the area of effect spells and the broach of shielding would have stopped his one auto-hitter: magic missile.
Stephan shifts his tower shield into the position, losing him the +4 shield bonus to AC, but granting him total cover (so long as he forswears all attacks while doing so). Total cover means that he cannot be targeted by either melee or ranged attacks (even a tanglefoot bag). However, the shield itself can be targeted for attacks such as disarm and sunder attempts, and area of effects still work normally, although I get a +2 reflex save against them.
This means that Stephan is, for now, immune to any of your manufactured weapons. If you were to try and set the shield on fire, however, as I think you might, it would begin to suffer damage, and Stephan would probably have to immediately discard it so it wouldn't damage him.
Stephan drinks a potion of Bull's Strength on round 1 (duration 3 minutes or 30 rounds). He will remain hidden behind his shield until he has drunken, in order, a Potion of Shield and a Potion of Enlarge person; therefore, you can take your actions for rounds two and three in a row now. At round four (keep in mind he goes second), Stephan will likely emerge.

^.^ I think I'm gonna like this...
Round 2: I slowly begin humming an old Githzerai tune to myself & walk forward 10 feet, then begin to douse the floor area to the left & front of myself with the oil.(only covers the five foot square infront of myself & the five foot square to the left). I then lift it up pointing in the direction of Stephan, wave it as if in salute, knowing full well though he can't SEE it, & smile.
Round 3: I heft the tanglefoot bag up in preparation for thossing & ready the oil for spraying as well, a tindertwig tucked between my knuckles holding the oilskin. Now, the action I'm waiting for is for you to either come towards me or show any signs of hostility that I judge worthwhile. If it happens, I have the option to act immediately & if you come towards me I shall only act if you come withing a range that I judge worthwhile.

Well, here's where I'm going to stop the game for a ruling from our DM. Technically, granting himself total cover does not mean he must give up his eyesight, although I suppose the idea of "Total Cover" gives that impression; I'll grant you that one.
However, a readied action grants you only a standard action (throwing the tanglefoot bag) which does not leave you time to light your tindertwig and drop it (move action to light and free action to drop). You may use your remaining move action during round 3 to light your tindertwig so it is ready to be dropped as a free action, but I think that is definately suspicious enough to warrant noticing the oil underfoot (Stephan does have a spot check of +4).
I'll be more than happy to run into the trap if deemed appropriate, but, meaning no offense, i'd like a second opinion.

Worries you how, im only a borderline psychopath.
Well... You can only ready a standard, a move, or a free action. So Anketh is right. And Total cover is total cover, you cant see, if you were to look from behind your cover it would only be a varied degree of cover.

Ah, here's the thing. I didn't say I was gonna use the twig. It's just held between my knuckles for later use. I didn't want to type a long line explaining how I take the twig & how I'm managing to hold it while holding the other stuff. & I just have it so that I have the choice of doing either action, but I can only do one.
