Hi, I'm LushGrl
I wanted to start a post about how we can apply the bible to our own personal life's. Feel free to ask questions and let them be answered by anyone who posts.

Life was too short! The way we saw it, a girl has enough problems at this day and age without having to worry about one of her own stabbing her in the back.

It's a quote from the book that I want to use to show why I'm doing this. smile

The first thing I want to talk about is Dating non-Christians.
If you open up your bible to 2 Corinthians 6: 14-15 you'll see the words:

Don't team up wtih those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light life with darkenss? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

God wants us to be good examples to non-Christians but not be on the exact "team"as them.
What is the difference?
It's okay to do class projects and be friends. Because you can pull them over and maybe get them to hook up with Christ. Be best friends? Not such a get idea. Marry one? a little dangerous. Why do u ask? God should be number one, and your partner can't relate. Even without doing it on purpose, unbelievers can loosen your relationship with God Almighty. The best way to avoid that heartbreak is not to have strong relationships with unbelievers.

~I totally agree!

I say it's way easier to pull someone down than it is to pull someone else up. I've heard so many stories of good Christian girls who start to date an unchristian boy and slowly and surely get dragged into sex, drugs and alcohol before they even know what happened.

Okay, really severe.. I know.

But also. About marriage. How can you be one with someone who doesn't know God Almighty!!? The bible calls it, "Unequally yoked" and it can only lead to years and years of dis-unity. Or divorce.

I actually haven't dated yet, because my standards for a relationship are pretty high. And I'm not really looking for my husband yet. But I know that once I'm ready, God will bring him -so I don't have to worry about a thing. mrgreen ~
