I've created a Neopet. That site is pretty %$#$&^ confusing though. Too many bright colors and it's not well organized. The shop system is nothing but frustrating. Do I smell rampant scamming? I have no idea what anything is worth. I'd help if they had an average posted like our auction place does. sweatdrop

There are links at the top for Auctions, Trading Post, and Shop Wizard on the market place pages, you can type in the name of the item you're interested in and figure out how much it's worth there. Some places are better than other for selling things, rarer items should be put up for auction or trade because they only let you put a tag of 99,999 on stuff in your shop.

Once you start getting a good amount of NP only keep under 5,000 out and put the rest in the bank. Neopets seems more likely to give you good random events if you pretend you're on the poorer side. I actually got 3 faerie quests this last week, and I've been on since 01 and only got 1 other one before now.

www.sunnyneo.com
www.thedailyneopets.com

both have good guides to neopets, newb sections, and a dailies section with links to all the free stuff (and some that charge a bit but you can often get good prizes) you can do each day. I've got one around here somewhere (I have my links on 3 different desktops so it gets confusing) that has links to all the places you get free food every single day. You can feed your pets at the Flintstones kitchen and Summer Fair off of the top of my head. And at the Six flags place.

Thanks! That'll help a lot. I got a random air fairy quest today so they must be increasing them lately. I'm saving np up to get a home in the underwater city. I really like the picture of the Eyrie painted with the underwater paintbrush.
So far Pyramids is my favorite game.

LOL, yeah, I'd love a maraquan paint brush for Skary_Yzma LoL Do you need help with your quest? You can't search for it when you're on a quest, but I can. LoL

I googled the item she wanted so I could get an Idea of where to look for it. I paid 1500 for a pink toothbrush. Probably way too much but I finished the quest in 5 minutes. ninja

This gamer girl loves game guides. Being confused does not equal fun.

I hear ya there. I'm basically just starting out again because I took geez, a two or three year break in there. When they really started commercializing and trying to draw everyone in that they could my computers couldn't handle all the flash and fancy coding and it was pretty much just impossible to use the shops and play the games properly so I quit. And now I have a couple nice computers so I can obsess on it as much as the kids will let me. I'm thinking I'm going to teach Riv how to use the mouse using a few of their games like Destructo Match and Fairy Bubbles (well, that one is keys) but they're both matching games and a lot of their games are aimed at younger kids so I should be able to find a few he can do. And they all have enough educational value for a four year old to satisfy me. LoL I just want him to get the gist of it. I thought he had figured out rhymes yesterday with Kai-lan but he was just excited about a frog on screen. LOL

LOL, nother goofy thing, I bought him a GIANT lolipop on the way back from his visit with his bio last weekend and still haven't opened it. I put it up where he can look at it all the time and he's content with that for now. WIN!

UNFORTUNATELY- He got into bubble gum today, he's pretty good with it. I think he's only swollowed it on me once maybe. But he was playing with it and got some stuck in those teeny, tiny hairs on his neck. It's like, fused between those baby hairs and the sensitive neck skin, so I'm going to give it until tomorrow afternoon and try to scratch it off every so often. It's just a tiny line, looks almost like I drew on his neck with a thin pink marker but, I just don't see peanut butter getting it off (esp since he got the jar and was covered in it today biggrin Silly goofy thing!)

Rubbing an ice cube on it might help. That or you can take a disposable safety razor to those little hairs.

Wow, I haven't thought about Neopets in a long time. I used to have an account there, but then I got all involved in Gaia and online games and kinda forgot about it.

I may have to check it out again.
