This is a thread for those of us who are not sure if a particular show counts as an anime or not. We can discuss/debate/etc. those here. XD;; Personally, I don't care whether or not it 'truly' is an anime, as long as it has some resemblance, I like it. And I count it as anime.

Anyhow, here is the thread. mrgreen

Most of the animes I watch have no problem being classified as animes. XD Except for two.

XD;;

Avatar: The Last Airbender sometimes has people trash-talking. Because it's not really 'Japanese,' but I love it anyways.

Another one is Oban Star Racers. It's a French, and Japanese, production, but the style is a bit 'non-anime,' but same as Avatar, I love it anyways. xD I think it's kind of cute how nobody has noses, hehe. ^_^

Yeah, I'm not sure if Avatar would be considered anime... It looks like it, though... Somewhat...

Naw, I never saw that. I always saw it on the TV guide, but it never piqued my interest. biggrin [Haha, I said piqued... Ten points for me! heart ]

Oh. XD;; I don't have cable, or TV Guide, so I watch most of my animes online. Or, on DVDs/Videos sometimes.

Le gasp! OMK. Where do you watch anime online? I only know where to watch FMA and Avatar and Death Note... biggrin
PostPosted: Mon Jul 07, 2008 1:33 pm

I just search Google or Yahoo. XD You just search the title, and the episode.

For example, Avatar episode 1. Or you could search the episode name.

Like, "Oban Star Racers Episode Revelations" if there's a name for the episode.

Want to watch Oban Star Racers?

http://www.haru.tv/watchvideos/766/13332/1/Oban-Star-Racers-all-eps.html

That's where I watch Oban.

Yeah, but it's usually download only, and I don't like to download stuff. I'm too paranoid. emo But once I’m off work, I’ll check out Oban. wink

Same here. XD I don't like downloading stuff because I'm paranoid too. XD;; But, most of the stuff I find with search engines let you watch it online; no downloads. Though, I got a virus before. sweatdrop GAH! Lucky for me, I have antivirus scans. ^_^

Heh, my mom would kill me if I got a virus on her computer… emo Speaking of which, Spyware got on me gramma’s computer by accident when I was on my online manga-reading site… Which is strange, because before [on different computers], I never had any trouble with that site…
PostPosted: Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:11 pm

Weird... XD Yeah. Well, I get viruses on my computer fairly often. sweatdrop But, they get cleaned out pretty well, so my mom only gets mad for a moment. Then she's just like, "Well, if it's deleted, I guess it doesn't matter."
Hm...I never really read manga online. XD

My mom wouldn't be speaking. She'd be burying me. O_O'

Anywho, I don't often get the chance to go to a bookstore so I usually read it online.... And also cuz I'm usually broke. crying

I usually borrow mangas from the public library. There's a huge manga collection. I think there's more mangas than children's books. XD

Heh, I would do that too, but unfortunately I'm busy during the week, and weekends are usually busy as well... And then during school, I'm a boarder, so I can only go off campus on weekends, and I just go to the mall cause the school provides buses for us poor, deprived boarders. wink But our school library has a small collection of manga, some of which are not really appropriate for school... wink The librarians obviously don't check the ratings when they buy the books we request. biggrin
