Liadan circled slowly over the island, her keen eyes seaching the ground below. Not sure if she would even find what she was looking for, but hoping for the best. Suddenly she spotted a slight sparkle on the ground and decended a bit to get a better look.

Sohalia sighed, as the sun began to turn in for its slumber, and lithely leapt down from the tree to see about catching herself another fish before going to rest as well. She thought she saw a shadow pass by and looked around, but saw nothing she could immediately discern. Keeping her senses alert, she wandered over to the edge of the stream to watch the fish as Sirius taught her. She made her tail turn and used it to attract fish to the sparkle of it.

Liadan spotted another creature like herself jump from a tree and approach the stream. He heart caught when she noticed the sparkling tail, yet wasn't sure. The markings looked like her mother, but there were no wings. Then agian, she thought, *I shouldn't have wings either*
She tried to land lightly on a branch near the stream, but with fight still being new to her she missed. She let out an epp as she went right past the branch and crashed into the stream with a loud splash.

Sohalia was splashed right in the face by something dropping seemingly out of the sky. "Now what in the world...!" Her fustrated voice trailed off as she realized the other Tae had fallen into the stream, wings and paws flailing. She looked to her right then to her left, hoping someone would come help. She was a decent swimmer, but even in the water, her wings made it so much easier in times past...
A sparkle of tail flashed and she was taken aback, What.... who...?? Without another thought she dove into the water, dog-paddling towards the other. Oi... reduced to dog-like mannerisms. She was disgusted with herself but kept paddling until she reached the other Tae then tried to help as best she could.

Liadan hit the water hard and splashed about before starting to get herself swimming. She was just about recovered enough to swim to shore when she froze in shock at the Tae swiming towards her. "MOM?!" she managed before slipping back under the water.

Sohalia was utterly taken aback by the voice and words that issued forth from the other, "What?!" As the other Tae was slipping under, Sohalia noticed something she was shocked to see in combination with that voice... wings! Couldn't be her then...... could it??? She sputtered and started losing her momentum in the water in shock and her body slipped, she sank until she could kick off from the bottom and push the other Tae so her head was back above water, then tried struggling up herself. She kicked and kicked, finally just as she was going to take a breath whether or not her lungs filled with water she broke the surface. She managed to yell one thing before the bottom half of her head slipping back under the water, "Use... your..... wiiings-fltpf!!"

Liadan tried to beat her wings in the water and noticed they did help keep her up. She swung her tail over to the other Tae to grab as she used all her strength to start them towards the shore. Too filled with the rush of the moment to think over what she had seen.

Sohalia let her body fall a bit before kicking again, she was growing so tired... The other Tae's tail floated in front of her and she grabbed on with both paws as best as she could. Her mind was slipping, but she held her breath and tried to stay conscious. Her hind legs couldn't bear to kick much more and their movements slowed as the seconds ticked by.

Liadan pulled herself ashore, and tugged with her tail until the other was on the bank, Turning she examined the Tae closely, "Mo.. Mother?" she asked questioningly. She had hoped to find her family here but now that she may have, she was even more unsure in this strange new land.

Sohalia faintly heard the voice of the other Tae but her strength had left her. She lay there barely able to move her eyelids a bit in response. Liadan.... daughter of my heart.... could that be you? I'm so sorry.... we... left you...? Did we? So sorry....

Liadan moved over cautiously until she could get a good look in the fading light. There was no doubt left in her mind that this was indeed her mother. Yet at the same time she was both saddened and confused as to where her mother's wings had gone.
She walked over and gave her a gentle lick on the cheek then grabbed hold of her fur and pulled under the tree. Not knowing where her home was she simply laid down beside Soholia, spreading her wing over as a blanket.

Sohalia stirred and started coughing water. Her voice was hoarse and strained, "Li... Liadan....... my...... girl?" She felt so helpless, yet warmed to think her daughter had returned to her. Her body laid splayed out.

"I am here mother. rest now, and get warm. Time for me to take care of you for a bit" She wrapped her body as close to her mother as she could to warm her as tears of both sadness and joy ran down her face.

Sohalia exhaled deeply, a worry off her mind, and she fell into an exhausted slumber full of strange dreams. The dying light faded into pure darkness as Sohalia slept soundly and deeply throughout the moon's reign in the sky.
