I know I'm going to sound stupid, but I don't know much about this subject and I need to know.
You know those invisible tongue piercings that you can wear and people won't see it at work and such?
Well, I was wondering if it is possible to have one of those as the original ring so that one could still go to work without punishment whilst the piercing heals. haha

as long as the shaft is hypoallergenic (steel, titanium, PTFE, etc.), I don't see why not...
