I finally read the Tamuli a few months ago, and I noticed an interesting coincidence...

In one of my history classes, we had learned about the defenestration of Prague -- an actual event that started a war during the Renaissance. Because of that class discussion, I had, later that day, used the word "defenestrate" while I was picking on my brother. More specifically, I told him that I was going to defenestrate his trumpet if he didn't play it more quietly. Of course, he asked what the word meant, and I told him to look it up.

Later THAT VERY SAME DAY I was reading the Tamuli, and I came across the part where Stragen is using the word "defenestrate" in a similar manner as when I used it on my brother -- using the word for the shock effect. I thought it was a very strange coincidence -- it's not a very common word, and the average person hears it maybe once in their lifetime, if even at all. So to be using the word myself, and then read it in the book... it was crazy. So I showed the book to my brother and told him that 1) no, I had not originally gotten the word from there but 2)he could read this section of this book if he wants to know what it means.
