Yoshihiro scouted the plains for something to do. He hated staying in one place for too long, always feeling like he was missing out on something. The wind was blowing enough to make the field of flowers at his paws bend in waves like the sea. His dark fur ruffled in the cool breeze that knocked off some of the heat from the day.

Not far from where the navy blue Taesystia sat, a small group of pig-like creatures were grazing, unaware of the keen eyes tracking their every move. Very slowly, dappled paws inched their owner closer to the small group of creatures; careful not to startle them until she was ready. She felt the breeze ruffle her short fur and fell back onto her hind paws briefly before springing into action. The flowers and grasses seemed to burst as the sandy, spotted Tae pelted towards the pigs, and the squat creatures squealed in terror and began running. Nyako grinned to herself as she raced after them, her belly fur just barely skimming the grasses as she kept herself low to follow their erratic patterns. She wasn't hunting and while the chase was good fun, there comes a point where this particular species turns on it's pursuer. As the largest of the boar-creatures turned on the spotted tae and flashed their tusks, she stopped short and backed away a few pawsteps. Long tail lashing back and forth, she grinned a toothy grin before jolting forward in a mock attack and slapping her forepaws against the ground with a hiss. The pigs startled back a bit, but soon recovered and charged their would-be attacker. Nyako gave a startled chirp and turned tail swiftly; chuckling could be heard rolling softly across the plain as she left the creatures in the dust behind her.

Yoshihiro hadn't quite expected to bump into another tae since the valley seemed rather deserted. Not only did he find another but it was a female and a lovely one at that. Peeking his interest he watched this brightly colored tae stalk her prey before springing into action. His brown eyes stayed glued on her, marveled at her speed and agility to keep up with these other odd looking creatures.
When the pig like creatures turned on the female Yoshi started into a jog ready to bolt if she needed help with them. The female however seemed to know what she was doing and before long she had run a great distance leaving them behind. Soon enough those creatures lost interest and turned back to whatever it was they do. Walking at a casual pace Yoshi hoped to meet the female without being run off, surely she would out run him as well. Out of range of the pig creatures he called out to her as he approached, "Hello there!"

Having fallen into a lazy sort of stride, Nyako jumped with a start and lashed out her tail at the sudden greeting, her head bobbing up to glance at the dark-pelted male padding towards her. Reminding herself that she had yet to meet another creature in this land who spoke besides her own kind, the cheetah-spotted Telpareon willed her short, bristled fur to lay flat again and offered the male a cheerful smile. "Hiya, stranger!" She chirped, changing course to meet him halfway, "What brings you way out here? Aren't you hot under all that fluffy dark fur?" Her paws never seemed to quit moving as she began to circle him curiously when she reached the other tae. All the while, her long thin tail whipped at the air pensively.

Couldn't take his eyes off of her, the spots on her bright coat hypnotising on this warm day. "Wandering about. I.. hot?" he hadn't given real thought to his fur and the affect the dark colors would have. Now that she mentioned it, it was uncomfortably warm. "I suppose I am" he chuckled watching her circle him. The dark male actually standing still for the moment. "I happened to notice you running. Agile and fast, don't see many taking that speed around here. Lovely as well" he remarked. Generally Yoshi made it his rule not to openly flirt upon first meeting.

Nyako circled around to stand in front of him, or rather sit as she later decided, and tilted her head slightly to the side. "You're a pretty outspoken guy, aren't ya? I guess I don't have to wonder about you being tall, dark, and mysterious... We'll just have to replace that last one with handsome, nya!" She began with a small giggle, "I never really thought of my speed as anything out of the ordinary before; then again, I haven't really lived with any other tae since leaving my family." The cheetah tae flicked her tail behind her for a moment before getting back to her paws again. "Hey, lets get out of this sun, okay? Follow me; I'll go slow for ya!" She chiped, flicking her ears back in jest before trotting off.

Yoshi chuckled at her first comment, "Oh I can still be plenty mysterious for you. Confuse you even if you aren't careful." He started moving around her, this time being the one doing the circling. "Granted I haven't seen too many myself. Maybe it's just being faster then myself" he grinned. "Alright let's go" He stopped half circle and followed along staying at her side. "Let me know if I am slowing you down too much" he joked feeling unusually cheerful since meeting her.
Walking a ways it finally dawned on him how rude he had been. "My manners seemed to have escaped me. I'm Yoshihiro"

Trotting at an easy pace, Nyako glanced over to the dark-pelted male and grinned again, tilting her head. "Yoshihiro; that's a pretty long name there!" She chirped with a giggle, "You can call me Nyako, nya! If ya don't mind, may I call you 'Hiro?" Her ears perked at a faint sound, and the cheetah-spotted female looked up and bounced with relief. "There we go! That looks like a great place to settle for a bit!" Ahead of the two was a large and solitary tree; it offered shade and hung over a small oasis, it's roots also running into the locked body of water. "Are ya thirsty at all, 'Hiro?" She mewed, flicking her tail happily.
