I was surfing the internet a while ago, a dangerous pass time, when I came across a Twilight the Movie trailer. Shows how out of the loop I am. Didn't even know they were making a movie.

Part of me is a bit leery about this, cause in my experience a lot of movies aren't true to the books.

For example... The Golden Compass. Thats not how I remember it ending!

Erm off topic. If you could have any book be turned into a movie what would it be?

Zombie Survival Guide would be a pretty interesting educational movie in my op.

i would love to see the rest of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy-series becoming movies, but im not sure how it will be without douglas himself being a part of the production confused

The BBC actually made all of the movies awhile ago. Sure they don't have amazing special effects, but I rather liked them. They were pretty true to the books. I agree though, I would love to see all of them made now.

I just posted a spoof trailer from Youtube in Video Spam.

As for what books I'd like to see turned into movies, maybe Saturn's Children by Charles Stroff. I haven't finished it, but I hear it features robot sex. Then again, maybe that shouldn't be a movie.

Maybe The Stupidest Angel. I wouldn't know if it qualifies as sci-fi, though it features a stupid angel and a zombie Santa.

Maybe they should redo the Dune series (correctly) up to God Emperor of Dune. Paul of Dune was just released.

At this point, I'm hoping they don't totally ruin Half Blood Prince when the movie comes out in ...crap...is it january now? They keep changing the date.

I would love to see Anne McCaffrey's Pern novels turned into films! heart heart heart

There was almost a tv series of them years ago but Anne herself killed it when the producers kept trying to change Pern, make it more hip, trendy, modern teen friendly and oh yea...lame. Thank you Anne. heart That would have been worse than not having it at all. I can still dream.

Thats a good point. They actually moved it to June or July cause it can be a Summer Blockbuster that way. Pisses me off. I was fine for it being in the Fall cause then I wasn't broiling when I dressed up like a Slytherin. Oh yeah, was the only Slytherin there.

Oh that would be amazing! There are comic books out there, but a movie would be super. Thank goodness the show was killed though. I love the Pern novels too much to watch it be slaughtered.
