So I was watching the OA again over fall break, and something confused me in Kill House (Order 8 ). What was important about Palo Alto? Was anything ever said about why an overturned car in the desert in America was important? Who was the corpse inside?
I didn't understand this weird segue into nothing, so any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated!

I was just wondering about that the other day. I had it figured out once, but now I forget. I think it was one of the creators of the chip or something. I think they would have explained it more had they had a 2nd season. Of course, things started to fall apart plot-wise in the last few eps...

*very delayed response*
Perhaps a too-short attempt to show the rise of the chipped freaks across the world, not just in Britain? The manga was hinting at a world wide battle even early on so it would make sense for the anime to have done so as well, even if it couldn't follow through.
