Three quarters of the island shoreline are beaches. (The other fourth, a jagged cliff.) The sand is very light and dry, theres driftwood, and shells scattered around. There isn't much seaweed or dead fish, the animals take care of all that.

Evera began to stir in her bed of sand. She rolled over and winced. She didn't know how long she'd been out, but it was obviously enough for the scorching sun to leave it's mark. She waded back into the water to get the sand off her body. Her clothes were really starting to get ragged. She'd been on the beach for quite a while, she loved the water. She'd come back to her home with Darren, and after they broke up she'd began wandering around on her own. She didn't take very good care of herself either. After she'd dried off some, she decided to go visit her brother-- Or his grave at least.

Evera stepped silently through the sand, kreeping down to the shoreline. She looked up and down the beach plenty of times before she spotted what she was looking for: A herd of wild horses. With a smile, she flitted to them, appearing to materialize in front of them. Before any of the animals could snort or bolt, she reached out with her mind to confront two; A dark bay and a pitch black, both stallions. She coaxed them into trusting her, letting them know she would never hurt them, and they would enjoy going on the adventure she had planned. She promised not to use a bridle, and that she wouldn't kick them. The bay stepped forward slowly, his knee cracking once, and placed his velvet nose on Evera's outstreatched palm. The other followed the lead. Smiling triumphantly and scratching each horse behind the ears, she walked back to Shane's house, the animals following without a problem. The herd winnied to them, they have bolted when the two had been singled out and settled halfway down the coast. The two behind Evera responded, probably explaining that they would be back soon.
