Lesson 1

º First lets cover the basics even if you already know. RP means to Role Play, think of it like acting; example: A play.
Kind of like writing a play with others online, or a book. Maybe even a movie script if you like.

º When RPing you need to be atleast semi literate. So everyone knows what your saying lol.

Lesson 2

º When typing out actions, you need to use these:

-= =-
~ ~
Basically anything you can think of to seperate actions from speaking.
But of couse in this day and age of RPing. You must not use either of those if the rules says not to use * *. So instead you should use this form of RPing. Let me show you.

Luna grabs a pencil and starts in the center of the paper, she swiftly makes the shape of a face.

Basically you just type as you would normally, for actions.



º When typing words that are being spoken.

You should type it out this way. " " Think of it as the words you see a character in a book is speaking. For example:

"Hey you! Your not suspose to be here!" The police officer shouted to the shady person not far from him.

See?




º When typing out thoughts, that your character may thinking to themsevles use italics. It could also be used in speech for emphasis on words.
Heres an exmaple of my character thinking.

Luna looked up into the night sky. I sure hope, Nikki gets home safely. she said to herself.

Or you can say: thought to herself, wondered... etc...





º You can post in any color you like, if you want to. You can have a color for just the actions if you want.

Luna throws a ninja star at the dummy infront of her. "Pow! Right in the kisser!"

Any color you like, that was just a sample.

Or you can do it the other way around.

Luna throws a ninja star the dummy behind her, missing. "Grr, I missed it!"

Or you can do it this way.

Luna walked away from the training ground cursing under her breath about the missed target. "I could have gotten it, if you didn't distract me!" She yelled at her training buddy.

Or you can just use black, the default color hehe.

Luna sighs, and apologizes to Nikki. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go off on you... it was my fault, really."

Or... you can color the thoughts too if you like... lol

How to set up a profile for a RP

There are many forms of profile set ups, depending on the the maker and the RP story and type.

Lets start with the basics, things that are required.

Gain name: <--- you would put PsychoSekundes

Character name: <--- put the name of your character. Heres' and example, a personal favorite of mine. Silvania or for a guy put Ixen... these are just examples remember ! XD

They don't have to be in italics either.

Age: For demons and vampires and gods (also elves) you can put what age they appear and then if you like their real age or just put unknown.

Race: Anything... human, elf, god, demon, angel, dog... lol okies? It also depends if they ask for it.

Bio or History... its the same thing, for those you would write out like.. their life story.

What I've seen most of is this: So-and-so parents had died... blah blah
lol okay, here is an example from one of my characters' bio from an RP.

Quote:

Gaian Name: Luna Kitsune Kasumi
Name: Jill Darkwind
Age: Appears 25 in human years
Race: Dark Elf
Class: Warlock
Picture: twisted Access denied.
Bio: Everything was fine and dandy until a certain event changed the world/gaia. The dark elves and Jill didn't muddle into Orcide and the Humans conflicts until they disturb the forests where they were along with the High Elves. All four went to the mountains for resoucres knowing full well the dwarfs would be angered, it was only a matter of time till the other races were angered as well. Jill is determined to end this war...with her side winning of course.

Oh I can't believe I forgot hehe.

Appearance/Picture: <--- 99% of RPs require a Anime picture.


The example was for a World of Warcraft based RP in another guild.


You can host pictures on Photobucket, thats what I use.

TIP

You should read the story, and setting to get a feel for what you want to put in your profile, especially for the Bio/History. And such, if you need help with that, also look at other profiles for help too. If still at a lost biggrin don't be afraid to PM me!

How to find pictures (If your not making them yourself)

They have plenty search engines out there but, the ones I mostly use are:

Google (Beware of pornographic ones that might show up)
Photobucket (in the search thing)
Defualt search engine you have with your IE, Fire Fox and what not.

Also.. photobucket or tinypic can be used (along with imageshack) to upload pictures.

You can also go to sites that have galleries of pictures.
