I'd post this in the MTB subforum but no one ever reads it.
Went biking a couple saturdays ago at Santos with my nephew and friend. First time out on my new hardtail so I was trying out some of the harder stuff I had to hike my rigid over. So after a few hours of riding we come to a serious descent. It's only like 12' but almost straight down. As I go to follow the others down just as soon as I start the decent I catch a rock in my front wheel. The bike flips over, I go over the handlebars and I drop the other 10' feet of the descent face first into the ground and my bike lands about 10' further down the trail than I do.
Really sucked because the trail is full of sharp rocks which I of course landed on. Tore up my right arm from my elbow to my shoulder, sprained my left wrist, tore up my right knee and I thought I pulled all the muscles in my stomach and chest but it appears I actually cracked a couple of upper ribs. Even put a dent in my new helmet. Of course that was better than putting a dent in my head. And of course after washing off some of the blood we do another 8 miles or so of switchbacks.
Wish we had got that on video though. Would of made a hell of a youtube video. mrgreen
You can check the mountain biking subforum if you want to see a video of the trail I ride. It's in the only thread in the subforum.
