I was hacked yesterday, but my account seems relatively secure now. I had asked someone else to make this post last night BUT they were busy.
ANYWAY.
Items and gold were stolen around 6pm EST. My screen name had been changed and things had been traded to a NICKA7. I made a report. After I changed the password around 7pm the hacker took control again (when I re-entered my info to refresh a page, the new log in I made did not work). They made a post in a Barton OOC thread I had posted in before (I answered an ad there and got an RP partner). Mysteriously, around 7:20pm I was able to log in again. I changed the password on my husband's computer and ran some spyware detection stuff on mine. Nothing turned up in the scans.
If you get any strange pm's from me or I make any really bizarre posts in the future, please be aware it may be this hacker.
This rounds out a perfectly horrible week for me including work getting robbed (no one was there, thank goodness), cutting two fingers, finding out a friend toyed with another friend's emotions and shunned him, and having my WoW life disrupted by a perfectly impossible friend who can't ever drop an argument. Woo! The cherry on top? Finding out you know next to nothing about your good friend(s) because you do all the talking if they ever have time for you (which they don't). ARGH. At least my husband is stable and sane (despite having me around).
SO BEWARE OF ZEE HACKER and let me, Capri, or Illy know if I make weird posts in weird places or send you bizarre pm's (or have already done so). Capri and Illy know how to reach me =)

That sounds really horrible. D:
I almost got hacked once, but the trade sent I was able to destroy in time, somehow. If'n you need some stuff or a talker-to-person, I be here, even though I don't know you!
Because I'm awesome like that.

Thanks for the support =) No news yet on my stuff, but hopefully I will hear something in the near future. I plan to PM an Omni mod in the next few days just to alert them to it. I'm really confused since I get to Gaia via bookmarks, not clinking links, never told anyone my password, and have no spyware. >.<

UPDATE: We found trojans on my computer. Apparently AdAware can't catch them. =( Anyway, my husband spent all day yesterday running scans, deleting files, and cleaning the old girl up (her name on the network is Windows b***h). I changed my passwords, including Gaia, last night from my laptop (her name is Apocalypse Pony). Today I got an e-mail from an Omni mod saying she was working on my case(s).

Woooo! Today my items and gold suddenly reappeared. I was told that the item recovery people, if they restored it, would do it with no real warning.
Woooo!
Anyone remember what I looked like before the holidays?
