I think that Link would have to end up with Malon because Zelda, Saria, and Ruto were all sages!

I prefer Zelda because Malon, thought a ranch girl, looks like she's never picked up a rake. And you should add a little more to your theory.

l(asil Hyrou I think that Link would have to end up with Malon because Zelda, Saria, and Ruto were all sages, meaning they were spirits to be trapped in the Sacred Realm, in the Chamber of Sages, until Gannondorf is defeated, and when he is, they return to their original times and forget everything that happened, leaving Link with no one... Disregard this thread.

Well, at the end of OoT, where all the hyrulians are celebrating, the six sages are seen to appear on top of death mountain and seem to float away to above the celebration. However, t still confuses me that when link returns to the past and there is Zelda. I think she's there cause the events haven't happen yet.... I hate time warp sweatdrop

I think you're right, but for a different reason.
In practically every game, there has been a Zelda and a Link. If Link continuously gets together with Zelda, down the line it gets a little too wierd.
If it was with Ruto...c'mon. She's a fish for cryin' out loud.
If it was with Saria...I dont want to think of Link as a pedafile.
Thus leaves either Malon, or any number of people he could shack up with be they Gerudos or townspeople from Kakariko or Hyrule.

They turned into ghosts because they had to give their bodies in the fight against evil! crying

by what I can tell in OoT, Link is the only one that remembers because otherwise why would he go to talk to Zelda? to go on the quest to find Navi which is what Majora's Mask on N64 is about right?

That is links role in life, if it where any other girl the drama would not be as high not in all Zelda games that is the case. Wind Waker you free the King of Hyrule, Majora's Mask you free Skull kid etc. But the basic theme of OoT is that your job is to save a princess yes.

1-Link would end up with Zelda
2-With the whole time warp thing, Link went into the future so he could prevent all of that from happening in the first place, so yes I believe he does remember...
