To me, Kekkaishi is an over-looked manga/anime. It has a fairly good plot and characters that aren't gary-stus or mary-sues. I have more to say but I can't think of anything right now. -sweatdrop-
There's Pokemon Special or Pokemon Adventures but they have enough fans. ;D

I haven't heard of Kekkaishi. xD;; Sorry... And I don't really read Pokemon. My favorite manga is Vampire Game by JUDAL; it's also one of my first ones. I finished it... wow, a long time ago, actually. xD

Kekkaishi is an ability user manga which other monsters and gods, such and such. All the characters have their strengths, flaws and perks. To the extent of my knowledge, they have it published in english to volume 15 but I don't know if there's more out.
I've read the first two-three volumes of Vampire Game ... because the school had it. >.>
Pokemon Special is more realistic and exciting. Trainers battle with their partners and it follows the polt of the games more. People and Pokemon take serious injuries and face worse dangers than the anime. Someone threatened to cut off another person's head if he attacked. : D

The opening is pretty. : D
Although, I prefer the manga. :3
The characters have a chance to develop more and have more conflicts. And everyone isn't as evil as you think.

Nataku is such a cutie! biggrin But my favorite character is Youzhen! biggrin Raishinshi is awesome too... And we can't forget about Sibuxiang-kun and Taikoubou. And Tenka's music.
ALL the characters in Houshin Engi are awesome... heart

Nataku is mine. -hugs- I like how the author gave him hints of emotion throughout the manga besides violent ones. xD I like Tenshou, Tenka's littlest brother. So adorable yet so scary. Oo"
Like Dakki, such a tricky and deep vixen. x3 And Kibi because of her childish imagination. 8D

Aw, but Dakki is such a deep and mysterious character. She isn't as evil as she is in the manga .. well, kinda depicted eviler maybe. xD
