We are the survivors of the apocalypse, we are stuck in a remote farm a couple of miles from the capital.
Not 5 miles from our safe house are the undead ex-inhabitants of the city and the neighbouring ports. The farm is 25 acres of fields and forests, the farm itself?
We used to butcher lifestock, we have a whole barn full of saws, knives, mallets and spades [Amongst many many others wink ]. We have 2 tractors, one of which is broken after Leestar 'accidentally' poured beer into the engine. The other one is my pride and joy, it has the power to pull a barn over and the speed to match a man on a speeding bicycle. I have customised it myself [Pre-apocalypse] with a few metal trinkets, some skull motifes and a few lengths of chain for extra badass.
We have a truck, it's old and a bit slow, but it's solid and it has a fully covered and metal rear. During the time we were hearing of the apocalypse we made sure to armour it up incase of ermergency, but we all know it'll be far too slow to take us far.
Our little cottage has 3 floors and a basement, the basement has no exterior entrance but it does have a passage that goes further underground to the slaughterhouse. Inside the cottage we have a 12gauge and a blowtorch set up within grabbing distance of the bedroom doors.
We have a gun cabinet with a lock on it, the key got a bit misplaced during one mealtime and we think someone may have accidentally eaten it stressed .
All of the farm buildings are set up around a large muddy courtyard so we cann see every building from any other. The courtyard itself is around 20 meters in circumference. It leads down a muddy lane to the main road, and it is walled by 5 foot high wooden fences that are way out of date for repair. Aside from the farm vehicles, we have a pickup, front grill has been modified with hefty chains, reason unknown biggrin We also have a gorgeous black Chevrolet SUV, brand new and so far only full of baseball bats from the times we've needed to get out to find food. We do have 3 dirt bikes, one has no gas and another has a flat tire, but the third one is fine and we've used it to get to the nearest town for supplies a couple of times.
We have a small group of farmhands and some city folk who have wandered around, some surviving long enough to find us.
We know there are more survivors out there, but we can't risk going to find them, and our own supplies are running scarce. We have heard that there may be an evac set up in the city, but we have only heard rough dates and we're not too sure how many people are still alive within the city. Some of the living that have found there way to us [or those we've picked up along the way] have been giving a few dates, but we'll need to find more to work it out.
For now, we're safe here. We have supplies to make barricades and we have forests about 2 miles behind our farm that will provide some shelter if need be.
The only safe and known places around the city are a few odd gas stations and a small town that's long since been deserted. Said town has one gun store, we're not sure what kind of supplies and weaponry are in there, but maybe we'll get someone to go check it out. There's a chopshop, they may have tools and spare gas, possibly spare parts. We'll send some out to scout out the town soon, maybe we'll find more stores and supplies.
Right, you know the set up now, you get the idea. Rules are pretty friendly, you'll just have to state whom you may be [Be it farmhand or one of the city folk we've picked up] and you'll have your own things to do. Eventually, maybe we'll work out when we need to get into the city, hell maybe we'll all die trying. If you pack your own weapon, state it [Nothing uber godly whee , unless you have a very good reason why wink ] and if you have your own special skills or whatever, state that. No godding it up, you're only human [or grunny, or drome or dark elf, or w/e lol, just nothing like a super super space ninja robot xd ] Spelling and grammar is not too important, just so long as it is decipherable. For now the zombies haven't found their way towards us, they're mostly dwelling within a mile of the city. Occasionally we get one or two rambling past the farm, but we've so far had very few confrontations.

If you wish to join, fill in this form [with the RP character details, not neccessarily your own wink ] and then you may go wink Name; Occupation; Weaponry; Advantages [If you wish (Could be things like martial arts training/ gymanstics etc)]; Disadvantages[Again, if you wish (Could be things like injuries)]; If you like, you can do a tektek to show what your character looks like. So yea, can you tell this is the first time I've ever tried starting a RP? Name; Marc Occupation; Farmhand, I used to slaughter the cattle and I have some skill with a blade. Weaponry; I always carry my penknife, but I have been practicing on trees with my woodsmans axe. I own a Colt Python and always keep 3 rounds in my pocket. Advantages; I have spent a few years playing with my guns and I have a decent shot, I couldn't hit a zombie at range, but get them near and I could stick a bullet in their heads. I've spent all my life chopping up trees and cattle, and I have good balance with my axe. Disadvantages; I've spent a bit too long being inactive recently and I can't keep up a run for too long. I have a pre-dispotition towards death, I very rarely react to it appropriately and it could be very dangerous if my life depended on me making the right decision. Done. And, shall we keep introductions in bold, and the actual RP in italic? It will help differentiate wink [To make sure you read the rules and all of that, post *Gimme gimme bloodshed* right after you've given your character details]

*starts ball rolling, and hope it picks up speed xd *
Waking at 7am to check the surroundings, Marc goes out to his beloved tractor. Sitting upon it's comfy leather seat for about five minutes before looking around to see if anyone else was stirring. He sees he is alone at this hour and walks off down the lane to stare into the emtpy fields and the thick plume of smoke rising from the city miles off on the horizon. The sun is glistening down and the fields are glowing in a creepy orange haze as the sun reflects off of the soggy ground. Out on one of his fields he spots a figure, distant and slow. With unease he pulls out one of the rounds from his front pocket and carefully loads his Python.
*Hopes people join in*

Witnessing Tae's plight, Marc quickly ignores the dark figure out on his field and loads a round as fast as he can, leaping the fence he then pounds across the field opposite as fast as his aching legs can carry him "DUCK!" He screams towards Tae as he see's a pipe thrown towards his back, he then dump tackles the figure to see that it was a survivor "Well.. I guess we had a few being chased" Marc then turns to shoot a rambler in the forehead just as they leapt towards him "Tae, let's get back to the farm before anymore come along"

"Well, I can't imagine everyone's dead yet, so hopefully we'll find more, it'll make getting out easier if we have a few more axes to hand." Stares at the rabbits laid out, mangled.
"Well.. They're better than leaves and bugs at least, boil em up and let's have some soup" *Laughs hysterically for a few moments as he realises how cruel life can be, staring idley at the rabbits and the newly found survivor*

starts a fire and fills a pot with water "one has to do what one needs to survive" skins the rabbits and puts parts of it into the boiling pot "unlless you feel like joining "them" and cannibalising your own kind into extinction" waits a few minutes for the rabbit to finish cooking and hands marc a bowl "anywhere i can sleep tonight? it's best i can get some rest i've been running for a while and my leg is bad and sore" starts on eating his soup then laughs quietly "well im no chef but it's not bad you should eat it while it's hot"

"I always eat food hot *Gives daft wink in some useless attempt at humour* and sure thing, we have a few beds free right now Looks at the fire Tae started, an amused glow in his eye "Mmm, fire.. Been a while, we've been stuck trying to steam everything" Looks towards the soup, takes up a spoon and greedily swallows a load down. Then starts to fiddle with the Python, removing the 2 remaining rounds slowly and awkwardly "It's been a while since I shot this thing, I think I sprained my wrist"
Walks to the window once the rounds have been pocketed, a grim smile crossing his face as he sees the fields light up with the midday sunlight, permanently scarred by the pillar of smoke in the distance.

"Well, I guess they spend the nights in the capital, the ones we get out here must have wandered off. But we could really do with getting a wider paramter to work out how they're moving." Stares out over the new nights sky and sighs as the constant glowing of the city lights up a halo on the horizon. Once more trying to forget the memories of the apocalypse. "Did you hear anything of the evacuation day? So far we've had 5 different days..."
Taking his coat off of the hook, Marc walks out of the door to go sit out on the front decking, the warm wind blowing his long hair over his shoulder. He looks out over the land and pulls his Python free from his hoodie pocket. Then whispers quietly to himself, almost in prayer... "How could he know this new dawns light, would change his life forever? Set sail to sea but pulled off course by the light of golden treasure..." A silent tear fell from his cheek as he continued the song.. "How can I be lost, If I've got nowhere to go? Search for seas of gold, How come it's got so cold?" He takes up the Python in one hand and with a grim smile sticks the gun up into his mouth and pulls the trigger, pretending to follow the course of the shot, then puts the gun down and gives a sigh as he thinks of all lost. He then pulls out his 2 remaining bullets and stares at them for a few moments, lost in limbo as the thoughts and recurring nightmares of the first few nights of the apocalypse washed through his mind, the screams of his friends in the bar as they broke in, his friends, torn apart like animals in front of him. He wept in solemn silence before he once again put the gun away and stood to see out over the world before him.

Just a few questions before I join, just to clarify the type of zombies we're dealing with. Are they the slow stupid zombies? And are they evil undead(can be hurt by salt, holy water ect.)?

The Platinum Knight Just a few questions before I join, just to clarify the type of zombies we're dealing with. Are they the slow stupid zombies? And are they evil undead(can be hurt by salt, holy water ect.)? They are the stupid widely variable ones that you get in Left 4 Dead wink Some slow, some fast as the devil, some huge and ugly razz But just imagine them as normal people, but dead and trying to eat you. Holy water? I'd prefer petrol wink

Name: Jay
Occupation: Special forces sniper demo expert.
Weaponry: Sniper rifle with silencer, 9mm silenced pistol, machete, some C4.
Advantages: I know various fighting styles, I have great stamina/endurance and am pretty much a killing machine.
Disadvantages: During the initial deployment to help citizens I sustained a shrapnel wound to my left shoulder. Affects arm mobility. Alone and hungry in the woods, Jay starts setting up a little base camp in the trees for the night. Hoping that the...monstrosities wont find him. He quickly makes an inventory check only to find he's on his last 3 clips of sniper ammo, and is left with 2 more 9mm clips. He would have to sleep lightly tonight, tomorrow he could hunt for some food.

Oblivious to the soldier on his land, Marc takes a stroll down the lane once again, hoping to find the shadowy figure once again. Out upon the field he spies a slight gleem, seemingly from something metal. He goes out and treks across the mud to find a small clip, after wiping away the muddy case it had developed, he finds 5 large bullets in what seemed like a magazine.
He strolled back to the barn while pondering where it may have come from.
"Well.. It looks like rifle ammo.. I wonder if it'll work in ole betty" He pulls open his barn door and walks up the steps inside to where he kept his antique rifle, he scoffed in irritation as the rounds didn't fit within "Maybe I was hoping a bit too much there.. sweatdrop " He puts thre ammo in his little cabinet and looks about wondering where the gun case key could be.
"Oh, the radios working.." In a cruel joke, the station was playing 'I walked with a zombie' By Wednesday 13 "Well.. Glad they see the light side of things, I wonder if the local stations are running still He flicked through all of the channels and all but one were static, but the one that worked was only spitting and moaning, occasionally there was a high pitch screaming sound. After a few moments tuning, the sound came through that sounded remarkably like a man screaming for god, with this in mind, Marc picked the radio up in the air and tossed it down to the floor of the barn, it shattered on the conrete and Marc swore as he realised how stupid that was... "Where is your god now..."
