Name: Tiffy, but most Gaians call me Vanilla Age: Just turned 20 Favorite Horror Novel: Cell by Stephen King (A portion of it took place down the street from my house. I was at that part when I was reading it at 3 am. sweatdrop ) Favorite Horror Movie: Hmm...Evil Dead or Diary of the Dead. Also Signs. When did you get into the genre?Jeez, when I was 3 and I was forced to watch the Child's Play series weekly because I slept over my cousin's house every weekend. Hobbies other than Horror: I am a fishkeeper. I have 4 tanks (only 3 are up and running atm) and something like 13 fish. Once I set up my new 29g I will have many more. My mom gave me permission to put tanks in other places in the house, but luckily I'm out of a job for a little while so I can't afford any. Where did you hear about the guild?Weeeell, I joined the old guild, Masters of Horror because I saw one of Samhainn's horror threads in GD almost 2 years ago. Anything else you want us to know? Nothing I can think of. I think everyone already knows I have a zombie obsession.

Favorite Horror Novel: The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. I first read it in high school...great story.
Favorite Horror Movie: Alien holds a special allure for me. Of the more modern films, I'd go with 28 Days Later.
When did you get into the genre?: I started watching the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies in the late 80s as a kid.
Hobbies other than Horror: I currently teach English and write a bit (my degree was in creative writing as opposed to English). I know, I know..."an English teacher? Here? I thought this place was a way to get away from school." I joined Gaia back when I was in college, and I sort of hung around. I also spend a lot of time outdoors- hiking, backpacking, camping.
Where did you hear about the guild?: I wanted to find a place for some light horror conversation and this seemed to be the most active guild of its sort.
Anything else you want us to know? I do enjoy teaching English (though I'd rather be writing), and that includes classics like Poe, Shelley, Bram Stoker, Bierce, in addition to a lot of sci fi and literary classics. I'd love to teach more-- Lovecraft and so forth, but, eh...schools tend to frown on the really bizarre and "untested." Oh well...maybe they'll someday let me teach a course in horror lit.

When did you get into the genre? Every since i was little, my dad and I would watch the marathon of old cheesy horror movies and the Twilight Zone that would come on every friday. Hobbies other than Horror: I write. Mostly fanfiction. I am hoping to become a pastry chef and enjoy baking and decorating cakes..

Anything else you want us to know? I used to work at a Halloween store. me of the items that were damaged I got to take home. So I have 2-3 hundred dollar animatics and latex models . And my car was a Hearse, was because the economy sucks. Science Major, going for teaching licensure. Because of that and family I moved Vanilla to Captain to co run the guild in my absences

Favorite Horror Novel: The one that I've read the most is Rose Madder by Stephen King but I've read all his work about three times over anyway.
Favorite Horror Movie: That's a toughie...at the moment it's Rec although I did really enjoy The Mist.
When did you get into the genre? I was sneaking my mother's horror compilations out of her bookcase since I was five.
Hobbies other than Horror: I'm just finishing a creative writing degree and working on a zombie horror film. That's pretty much eaten my life for the past eight months.

I don't specify things to favourites, except for MAYBE Dark Masques, a compilation of short horror stories. Favorite Horror Movie: Yet again, can't really specify favourites. When did you get into the genre? I've always enjoyed the dark and grotesque; blame my dad and his collection of Stephen King novels. Hobbies other than Horror: Role playing, writing, reading, listening to music (foreign metal, metal, hard rock, techno, alternative, etc.), pounding out people's brains over phone lines and playing piano... not well, but good enough. Where did you hear about the guild? Someone posted in an Easter forum and I clicked the ad in their signature. That is how I spend my life; doing random stuff Anything else you want us to know? In my former life I was an artist (kay, so I drew semi-cruddy anime; still counts as being an artist) and I love vampires and zombies... and bad guys that act all innocent, or when they go pure evil, or when they go crazy.... ok, so bad guys in general.

Favorite Horror Movie: The Rocky Horror Picture Show! And Once Bitten. Sure, it's an 80's movie and not really scary, but it's amazing!

Favorite Horror Movie: I think in series, sometimes, and I'd have to say either Storm of the Century or Kingdom Hospital. Do those count? If not, I really liked The Haunting of Molly Hartley.
When did you get into the genre? Umm, depends. I liked the scary movies but got scared at night and ended up just adapting. Now I just try to push my limits.
