I had this dream that I traveled to the future, and I was in my old house that my dad somehow bought again (he lost the house a few years ago and I moved in with my mom). I was in my old bed and my cat Sandy was lying with me purring(my dad has our cats). I could hear my dad disciplining monkeys in the living room. Like, why did he get monkeys for pets? Anyway, it was so real. But then my dad came in and put his hands over my ears, and I was in incredible pain and I screamed. I woke up at 4am. Then I went back to sleep, and I found myself back in the house. I got out of bed and went into the living room to talk to my dad. I made him promise not to send me back into the past again. Anyway, I asked him questions and I knew I could only stay in the future for a limited amount of time. Some of the questions I remembered involving how much he paid for the house to get it back. I asked if I could tell him in the present that he was going to be able to get the house back but he said no.
Did I really travel forward in time, or was it all a dream? I'm in interested in time travel and the rules of causality and such. It's possible that I knew if I told my dad in the present what was going to happen that it would change the outcome in the future.

that sounds wicked awesome though.
your sub-conscious might be trying to tell ya the future or somethin'

Whoa! If your Dad did buy the house back then you know that you just traveled to the future. Duuude~ ....that would be awesome. You should try and see if you can do it again! Let me know how that goes. : D

So far I've had alternate reality dreams, and I told a friend about this and he said that I've already lived though every other possible outcome... If that's true I'm going to die.

From what I have studied ... to dream about time travel, indicates your wish to escape from your present reality. You want to go back into the past or jump forward to the future to a period where your hopes are realized. This type also represents your romantic nature or your desire to romanticize everything.
