last night one of my tattoos got all swollen. it felt like welts and i could feel it through my shirt. i couldnt see it because of where it is on my back, but my husband said it looked the same. theres no pain or tenderness or anything, its just feels raised like when it was new before the scabs came.
this tattoo is at least 4 years old and has been totally normal until yesterday.
i used regular kuro sumi ink. its not so swollen now, i cant feel it through my shirt anymore, but its still a little swollen. none of my other tattoos are doing this and the ink is from the same bottle as 5 of my others.
has this happened to anyone else and should i go to a doctor?

Hm that's a little strange. It's never happened to me before but if it does worry you enough you can go see a tattooist to get a better opinion. If it's normal or it's something bad they'd know, they deal with tattoos all the time.

its like my scarred tattoos. its raised underneath the ink and itchy. i think its just allergies cause it spread ofter that to areas with no tattoos.
