Her body was moving forwards using mere momentum, paws padding down and up, one after the other. She wasn't aware that she was walking; of course, sure, she knew she was, but she was on autopilot of sorts. Her head was in the clouds.
Seiphyr had told her all about Gerda's children. He spoke so highly of his adoptive mother, Tauro. He spoke with eagerness and happiness all in one as he told her about the babies and how he was in a great family.
Lithium was happy for him, she truly was. If he couldn't be happy here, in Agua Azul, with her, at least he was happy in Gomorrah.
---
The black blanketed teen with the hot pink underbelly groaned slightly. The usually happy pup had been feeling bored lately, and she felt sure it was because she had taken to herself exploring lately.. She had completely stopped hanging out with her family.. With LSD, or Lithium, both her best friends..yet they were all growing so fast, and they knew so little about her as a wolf.
Her blindfold blinded her from seeing the world through her eyes. And she had taken to using her nose and her mind.. Even if the voices in her head didn't really allow much free time to actually notice things.
If it wasnt one of her personalities, it was another. And it was becoming quite evident, that maybe she liked being alone, because she always had a menagerie of characters playing in her mind.
"Im not crazy.." She told herself with a snort and an eyeroll.
---
Lithium's ears pricked forwards, green eyes immediately set to scanning the grounds as a familiar voice spoke from a bush. Oh wow, was the bush talking? Was she that far out of it? After a second of thinking, she decided that no, she was indeed a sane wolf and that no, the bush was not speaking to her.
It was her sister's voice... So Phrenia had to be around here SOMEWHERE!
She began rooting through the bush, poking her head all the way through and goofily grinning over at her much-larger sibling. "Hiya, sis. Long time, no see. Though, I suppose that's partially my fault."
---
Phrenia had been busy willing her voices to go away, she had not noticed her sisters words at first. But her mind went through her normal array of names and thoughts to those names.. That voice did not match.
But it did match memory.
She blinked her eyes open, and looked up, right at her smaller sister, who had snuck right up on her.
"Both our faults I imagine."She replied with a smile.
---
Lithium knew that Phren was a little off-color. She'd been off-color her entire life. What would make becoming older any different? Sure, she didn't think her sister was crazy. No more insane than their mother, Bipolar.
She grinned as the blindfolded female looked directly at her, as if staring into her soul. "How've you been?" Lithium's voice was light, happy, though she took two seconds to scan the territory.
Habit.
---
Phrenia's nose perked, as it was her prime source of sight, as it gave her all the eyes would give her..
Her sister always smelled like the deep darkness of the forest..Something like pine and sweat. But it was comforting to the female.
Nuzzling into her sisters neck fluff, which she found using her nose as well, she breathed deeply, and her tail wagged.
"We've been okay... How about you?" She asked, speaking as if her personalities were their own identities, which they almost were.
---
Lithi sat down slowly, never pulling out of reach from her sister. She and Phrenia weren't as close as she and LSD; LSD was her best friend. Probably due to everything they'd been through...though she hadn't been the one to lose a limb.
She didn't even blink as her sister buried her muzzle into her fur, or even when she called herself 'we' as if there were more than one of her. Lithium wasn't one to judge, especially not her family.
"Great," she giggled softly. "LSD's hunting again. He's finally using that stump'a his for something useful!" She was so proud of him.
---
: Phrenia wagged her tail. She had never seen LSD either, though she had placed a scent to him almost immediantly.
He smelled of berries.. Sweet berries, and she wasnt sure why.. She had always wanted to lick all over him when he was around.. But she had made the observation, that he didn't taste as good as that smell told her he did.
"Oh thats good."
She said, wagging her tail again. Her family all had issues.. Her fathers constant state of caution, her mothers partial insanity over her past, and LSD saw Butterflies! Lithium had grown very small... and she herself, well she had been born around six in one.
"Im sorry to dart off at the crack of dawn from the den all the time.. I just needed time for awhile.. Got alot goin' on up there." SHe said tilting her head as if signaling to it.
---
She wasn't sure what she'd do if she couldn't see. She knew some wolves were born without being able to hear. What would it be like to be in a world without sound? And what about Sei's Gerda, who couldn't even utter a growl. Never to sing a song. Never to speak a word...
She knew Phren could see if she didn't have that blindfold. If she had been an ornrier wolf, she would've tried to tug it off, to show her sister what a blessing sight was. But again, Lith was an easy-going girl. Not one to rock the boat. If Phrenia didn't want to see, who was she to govern that she had to?
Her tail wiggled at the tip and she licked Phren on the nose. "It's okay, I understand. I've...been taking time to myself as well..." For reasons... She knew she couldn't hide Sei from her family forever, but...was it the right time? Surely they smelled him on her...
---
If Phrenia had been looking for the scent of the male, she would have noticed it instantly. Scent was something she was skilled in.. But she was too busy trying to concentrate on distinguising her sisters voice from the one in her head. 'She loves LSD more than you..She never really wanted to be around you.' It whispered evilly into Phrens ear. But she was used to it saying such things, and she never took any thought into it. SHe knew her sister loved her..the voice was mesesd up..
"Why haave you been sneaking off anyway? You smell of forest when you come back.. Where do you go?" SHe asked
---
Lithium looked down at her paws nervously, shifting her weight back and forth. Was it the right time to tell her? Would she judge? The little femme took a deep breath in. She would ease into it.
"Well. Remember a few months ago? When momma brought that new pup into our den for a little bit, so he could rest?" She wasn't sure if Phren would remember Seiphyr or not; it had been a long while ago...
----
As he eased his paw back, she let free a small smile. An almost playful smile, though her heart was still bashful and hiding from him. Resist his temptations? She had to! If you didn't resist temptation... Well, you ended up pregnant. That's about the end of it. But he was quite a handsome wolf, she had to give him that...
Cross the line. Right. Her body shook with a silent laugh and she shook her head. Nope. Not right now. He'd have to earn her trust first.
She stared him right in the eye, then cocked her head to one side. Who was he, really?
---
Phrenia had thought that little male to be another voice inside her already crowded skull. She had written him off long ago, and she wasnt sure she could remember someone like him.. She didnt remember many..at all..
"No..But dont be offended.. I dont remember anyone outside my own."
She said, a mischevious grin on her maw.
---
Lithium's head tilted to one side, surprised. Maybe there -was- more going on in her sister's head than meets the eye. She wasn't sure. She wasn't sure whether to be relieved that she didn't remember, or saddened that she didn't remember.
Instead, she forced herself to go on. "Well... When we were pups, you and LSD were out with Dad when this strange white puppy came up. Momma let him stay with us for a little while, but then...he left again. He was a friend of mine... His name was Seiphyr." She smiled at the memory. "He came back to see me. He found himself a home and someone to watch over him. I've been...out with him. When he comes, I mean."
---
Phrenia wagged her tail furiously. "You found a boyfriend!" She squealed, having never been able to have this kind of sisterly chat before.
She wasnt exactly sure if any male would ever be able to deal with her issues, without leaving her for days at a time.. She wanted someone to understand..and most around here werent as of late.
---
Lithium felt her cheeks flush horribly and she giggled a nervous giggle, pulling back on her haunches. "I...guess you could call him that?" she murmured lightly. "I don't...I dunno...I've just never felt this way before, the way I feel around him. He makes me totally happy, Phren. It's really weird. We talk for hours. I'm always waiting for him to come back, like he promised he would."
