INTRODUCTION In the interest of security and personal property rights, the Freemen did not want the Locksmiths to be in charge of where people lived and what kind of business they could maintain. If you didn't make the locksmiths happy, the locksmiths would simply leave your doors open and make your business and property very hard to defend, especially if they locked you in another part of the ship. Trouble started when a freeman juicer expanded into the upper decks. The juicer muscled and intimidated a resident on deck 50 and set up a lab to break into the untapped middle class drug market. The residents of deck 50 asked the Freemen for help in reigning in their juicer, the League declared that the resident should of taken better care of his family and property from them. The residents then went to the locksmith guild, who declared the League's action invalid, and then proceeded to secure a corridor to an air lock and remotely open the door to his drug lab, blowing the juicer and all his drugs into space. The Freemen league then began to hunt for the people responsible for the loss of their drug lab. Demanding recompense, this only caused the locksmiths to go on the offensive, assisting several other private security forces, factions, cyber knights, and unfriendly gangs into breaking into and "removing" the threat of the Freemen. In a panic, the Freemen walled themselves up in the lower 4 decks of the ship, steel plates over the lifts and elevator doors, armed guards at all open passageways, no one could get in or get out of the lower 4 decks without the league's approval. The isolation fueled the black market, drug and slave trading on the ship. The underbelly is dark, smelly, the air is putrid, the water is contaminated, all the other factions turned their back on the Freeman League, but the residents there are happy that they can call themselves Free. The underbelly might be the land of freaks and monsters but it's still their land and each resident is the king of his own piece of the ship. The company's response to the underbelly has been as follows. "We are a passenger vessel, they are passengers, eventually they will get to their final destinations and leave the ship all together, then we can reclaim the lower decks." The underbelly has been like this for the last 7 years, with 33 years remaining in the voyage before the next required evacuation for refitting. The underbelly is also, in game terms, a sand box. Build it as you would, and since we have a lot of bounty hunters and private soldiers and mercenaries. I thought this was appropriate. LET THE GAMES BEGIN

((As long as Ferals aren't restricted from business because they are Freemen.))
Arturio Jacquiro Publicly Ferals trader Underbelly
"Oi, miss, want to buy some goods from the upper deck?" Arturio asked and swinged a few necklaces in his fingers. They glittered nicely and wouldcertainly be worth a fortune in the Underbelly. Enough to lure potential thieves and robbers, but Arturio wasn't too worried. He had Yusi and a Ferals membership. "Necklaces, no? How about some pot or rare food straight from the Biosphere? Quaranteed Ferals quality!" It was worthwhile to mention the organization once in a while, as people tend to forget when they see too much of worthwhile items. "Salt from Yukira mines? Energy batteries for handhelds? Shoop-da-Whoops? I got them all!" It hadn't been the most profitable of days, but it often went the usual carusel of ups and downs. Today a Ferals courier would come to check the profit, however.

Security Log 5603 Subject: Bandita Rosilita Location: Trancity Under Belly Status: R&R---- ------Bandita reclined against the metal crate that propped her up, kicking her slanted feet up on a box parallel to the crate. Her long deep red hair cascaded down her shoulder, orange streaks painting her locks to look like fire almost. Small horns perturbed from the top of her forehead, curving of so lightly. This thief stared in thought at cloth roof above her, her bright autumn colored eyes dazed in thought.------Her attire was the usual, tight orange brown top, and dark brown tight cargo pants, spotted with pockets and the like. A black belt X'ed across her chest, leading under the autumn colored back brace used by swordsmen to keep them from breaking their backs in fights. ------Bandita rolled her shoulder a little, trying to crack it back into place, rolling her head in unison to help speed the process. Satisfied after hearing the crack, the master thief stared out the parting of cloth into the world outside. Her long ears strained to listen for the movement of life, but was content when she heard nothing.------Letting out another sigh, the thief looked up at the roof of her make shift home, contemplating on what she should do now.

Riku Murakuma Deck 92, the "Underbelly" of the ship approaching entrance to Deck 92 Riku moved towards the entrance, his two escorts following him, Gauss rifles lowered. Although they were approaching a heavily guarded area, they had orders not to open fire, no matter what. The two were simply there as a formality. In case the League decided to get hostile. Both were equipped with M7's, so they could escape if need be. His mission, for now, was simply diplomatic. Darkstar's Military operatives needed access to the lower levels to capture a dangerous man. The problem was, the League didn't let anyone in without their permission. He was attempting to gain access for his men in a peaceful way. They needed to capture this man before he attacked anyone else, and if they had to blow past the Freemen League to do so, they would. One way or another, they were getting to the lower levels of the ship. He made sure his phaser's holster was undone as he approached, and set his shield to "passive", meaning only attacks that could be lethal would be deflected. He moved towards the armed guards, not showing any signs of hostile intent.

Deck 92 Entrance There was a sentry on duty, His gold chain gave him away as a league member. No one would dare be brazen enough to wear a solid gold chain unless they were part of the league. Impostors are usually found out within hours, as the league keeps tabs on who's representing them. The sentry looked to Riku and gave him the usual query for anyone not expected to be going in or coming out of the underbelly. What do yo want, honky?

Security Log 5603 Subject: Bandita Rosilita Location: Trancity Under Belly Status:Recon---- ------Bandita got up, she supposed, it was time she got to work. Lazing about wouldn't get her any food for her non-existent table. She crouched low, and slowly slided herself out of her home, her back dipping under to avoid disturbing the cloth. She made sure she was equipt. Her blaster on her side, and her lovely arm blades in their sheaths, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice.
Smiling in satisfaction, Bandita sulked out, keeping to the shadows heading her way to more populated areas in which to steal from.

Riku Murakuma Deck 92, the "Underbelly" of the ship at the entrance to Deck 92 Riku flashed his Darkstar I.D. as he approached. Not that it really mattered; the two men in Darkstar uniforms carrying Darkstar weapons were a bit obvious. "Captain Murakuma, Darkstar Investigations. I need to speak to your superiors... or whatever you call them. Tell 'em it's urgent."

Underbelly Entrance The sentry stepped up to Riku, holding his club on his shoulder. investigations? What are you some sorta cop? Think we just let COPS down here to do whatever? The sentry was taking an aggressive stance, and as he demanded an explanation of Riku's presence, four more league brutes walked up, carrying a variety of hand weapons... mostly clubs and knives, nothing Riku couldn't handle. However Riku would not get anywhere if he started blasting his way through sentry posts. The sentry stood in front of his four companions, tapping the edge of his bat into his palm. So how we gonna be Mista Investigatah... We gonna have troubles with you?

Security Log 5603 Subject: Bandita Rosilita Location: Trancity Under Belly; Nearing Entrance Status: Plotting ------ ------Bandita casually began to turn the corner, and then saw something unexpected ahead. Quickly jolting back against the wall, she fell to her knee, and looked around the corner cautiously. She spotted about eight people, that was a big crowd. The thief was begining to paw over the idea of turning around and trying somewhere else, but then, she saw it.------The gold chains. Five of the people standing over there had gold chains on. Her bright yellow eyes seemed to glint in greed, her mouth forming a coy smile. She wasn't sure how much gold would be around here, but she was always very fond of the metal. And with five, she'd be able to have one for herself, and four to sell. By now her devious mind was spinning with some way to attract their attention. She couldn't just steal from them in the open. ------However it was not yet known to this planning little thief who these people were. Being a new addition to the Under Belly, Bandita had not yet learned the history of the ship. Little did she know what she was about to get into, but, if she did, she would most likely not care. Bandita was the type who'd steal the gold teeth straight from her grandma if she could. But Bandita knew, she wouldn't be able to take all of them. Perhaps she should have just walked away but the glinting gold tempted her. So, she decided to do what all thieves do. She was going to wait, and see what happened.

Riku Murakuma Deck 92, the "Underbelly" of the ship attempting to gain access to the lower decks
Riku wasn't intimidated by the man; his shield was active, though invisible, so if the man did make the mistake of taking a swing at him, it wouldn't do much. It would also be the last thing he ever did.
Riku placed a hand on the grip of his phaser, and stared the grunt down.
"First of all, yes, I AM a cop, but not like any you've ever come up against. If you don't get the hell out of my face right now, I'll lay your a** out and arrest you for assault. And if you make the mistake of swinging that little toy at me, it'll be the last thing you ever do.
Second, my business is with the League's officers, not a low-life grunt like you. The matter I'm here for is not with the League itself, but of a threat down in the lower levels that threatens the ENTIRE ship.
Finally, I WILL get access to these lower levels, one way or another. If you don't get whoever's in charge up here, RIGHT NOW, I will come back with a full battalion of armed men and we will FORCE our way in, and I'm pretty sure the League isn't prepared to engage a small war with one of the most powerful private military companies in the galaxy.
Now how we gonna be Mista Leagueman... we gonna have troubles with you?" He stood back, continuing to stare down the grunt.

Underbelly Entrance Think you can come into my house and start s**t?This cop did not seem like a cop, he was either incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid. The thug wasn't going to let him pass, he had no respect for the law of the upper decks, nor did he care for this private security force. If you wanna war, don't think I'll stop you, but you betta recognizes what a Free Man is before you go all tyrannical on us.The sentry tapped his club against his chest. This is MY house! and if there be a problem den we deal with it, you ain't got no business here. This border be closed now, come back latah. The guard then turned, and walked away spitting on the ground behind him, as the other freemen quickly closed a large metal pressure door, blocking off that entrance from the rest of the ship.

Riku Murakuma Deck 92, the "Underbelly" of the ship preparing for assault
Riku watched as the League members walked through and sealed the door. He shook his head. They had just made a big mistake. A very big mistake.
He pressed a finger to his headset. "Murakuma here. They just literally slammed the door in our face. We tried doing this the easy way. Now we've got to do it the hard way.
Send down two full battalions of troops, and double the mechanized units to twelve. Also, have Scarlet get the HVML off of the Tarantula and bring it down here. We're going to need it to open this pressure door."
He looked at the door one more time, then headed away. The troops would arrive in about ten minutes. As for the "door-knocker" he needed, that may take a little longer.
He shook his head and sighed as he left. The grunt had just been doing his job, but he had no idea how much trouble he had just caused both Darkstar and the Freemen. A small war was about to take place in the lower levels, all because of one man's stupidity.

Matt Damon Sergeant Ferals Operation BranchA shady figure appeared from the scene and jogged after the darkstars. "Hello?! Coppers?!"He stopped before the men opened fire and showed he didn't carry weapons by opening his coat wide open. "I don't want to pick a fight. You want Dol, yes? I know a way in, but it costs. Not so much as to wage war against the Freemen, though."Thank lords Silas had sent him to do business in Underbelly. Should a war happen, Matt's boss wouldn't be happy with the loss of customers. He sniffed and pointed at the door. "That hing is about as useful as a cork in a paper-bag full of water, if you know what I mean. You just have to know some shortcuts."

Security Log 506 Subject: Bandita Rosilita Location: Under Belly Entrance Status: Stalking------ ------Bandita pondered over what she had just heard. Since arrival, she had not yet taken the time to learn about the ship's history and about it's factions and business and the like. So this enlightening eavesdropping session sparked curiosity in her. ------From what she had gathered, our little thief could sum up this; The men on her side of the now closed door, were guards, and apparently belonged to or were affiliated with "The League". The men on the other side of the now closed door were also with security, but it seemed like they were not of the same side judging from the events that had just occurred. It seemed like that man was part of another private group, however he did not seem idle in his threats.------The thief frowned. Such dramatic on goings, almost like a movie. However, she was interested. It was apparent something interesting was going happen. And when ever there's action, there's always people not on their guard for the right things. A thieves paradise. Her bright autumn eyes twinkled with devious thoughts.------Hower, Bandita knew knowing more about what was going on would probably help her in her devious plan she was concocting in that little cauldron of a head. Glancing back at the large, metal pressure door, it was obvious she was not going to be able to learn the other side of the story. She looked at the man who was walking away from the event, the one who seemed to be the aggressor in this case. Her eyes narrowed in cunning. Bandita had found her target.------Leaning onto her front sols of her feet, Bandita grinned cunningly, watching her target walk. She waited for him to walk a few steps before attempting to follow, she'd have to be careful, she still didn't know the way around the Under Belly, so she'd have to be careful. After a minute or so, Bandita quickly cleared cross the intersection and slyly slinked her way in the shadows, staying a safe distance away from her target, while keeping him in eye sight.

Riku Murakuma Deck 92, the "Underbelly" of the ship talking to Ferals operative
Riku listened as the figure came up, his proposition intriguing him.
"You can get a battalion of armed men into a secure section of the ship, and keep them hidden? I highly doubt it. Still, I'll at least hear you out."
He pushed a finger to his headset. "All units, hold until further orders."
He thought he felt someone watching him, and glanced over his shoulder. If someone was there, they were doing a very good job of staying out of sight. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dol-Amroth Deck 94, the "Underbelly" of the ship in hiding
Dol hid behind a small pillar as he moved slowly, trying to avoid being seen. He was a stowaway, unregistered, and he didn't need security finding him.
