Read, Study or just Hang out

Somewhere close to where Myra was, a small figure stirred, unsettling the masses of papers that covered her like a blanket. Thick, ancient-looking tomes were stacked like miniature towers all around and on the desk the child-like Exorcist had been working on.

Stretching and yawning like a cat, Kyri sat up, rubbing sleep from her eyes. The Bookman successor had been researching, but under the warmth of the afternoon sun had fallen asleep. As she slowly became more awake the girl jumped up in panic, scattering the papers.

"Ah! Oh no!"

Frantically, Kyri bustled around, collecting the papers whilst ranting to herself.

"Baka, baka, baka! Nii-san would be so angry if he caught me . . . And it's dinner time too! Gomen ne, Nii-san~!"

Stacking the papers neatly, she rushed to replace the books. By the time she was finished, the girl seemed calmer, in a chipper way. The girl managed to cram all the papers into a messenger bag, and, slinging it over her shoulder, she picked up the pink rabbit plushie on the table and swung him around as she trotted for the library doors.

"Neh, neh, Rabi-Rabi-chan~ What do you want for din-din today~?"

The young Exorcist turned, her deep green eyes wide with surprise. But it only lasted for a second. A giant smile spread across her face as she turned to face the other girl.

"Really? Maybe it's because I'm always hiding in a book fort! He he . . ." Kyri stuck out her tongue in a slightly embarrassed manner. Seemingly dismissing the latter part of Myra's comment, the girl continued, "You can call me 'Kyri'! What's your name?"

Kyri's face was a rather comical picture of surprise, but then she started giggling.

"Hehehe! Mimi-chan's tummy wants to nom things!" she laughed. Gaining a bit more composure, the little Exorcist beamed brightly. "'Course you can, Mimi-chan~! You can eat with Rabi-Rabi-chan and I! Ya-a-a-a-ay~! Din-din time, Rabi-Rabi-chan~! Mimi-chan, I'll race you! GO!"

Laughing, Kyri raced for the doors of the library.

Brent was about to arrive at the library, when a blur of black dashed out. He stayed still for a second. Waiting for the image to fully develop in his brain. He swore he saw a pink object in there. Soon after the blur ran he saw a girl run after it. Appearing to try and catch up with it.

He watched for a moment then glanced into the library. Was there someone or something in there that made them run? Or was it something else? Whatever the cause was he entered the library and closed the door behind him.

He looked around the mountain high bookshelves and sighed. If he wanted to find out more information about the past he was going to need a map. A light growl was heard from deep within his stomach. He glanced down embarrassed and covered it.

"Not now, stomach, I need to at least find out SOME info..." he said softly to himself as he started his way to the first aisle of the library bookshelves.

He heard a hoard of commotion outside that made the books rattle in it's place. He ran to the window and peeked outside to see an akuma hiding in the trees.

Sylvaky ran in the library dragging Shiranai behind her. Sylvaky loved the library, she loved books. "They got new books!" she exclaimed.

Sylvaky thought it was funny hearing Shiranai excited about being in the library. "I guess you need to catch up." She said.

"Over here." Sylvaky led Shiranai to a shelf with lots of large history books. She picked out a medium sized book and handed it to him.

"This is a book on Aleen Walker. He's one of the best exorcists in the world."
She said excitedly.
