After three minutes into creating a sim, my computer turns off... crashes. I turn down everything to low... and still. It hates me.
I can play with everything on high... my computer hates create a sims.
I wonder what is wrong.

My computer does that randomly during sim play. If one of my sims do something big, like just today, I was playing and this couple were to get married (Finally), and right when he purposed marriage, my computer crashed. It happens a couple times for my computer... so whenever you figure it out, let me know. Lol.
And create a sim works on my computer, but it's very slow.
Maybe it has to do something with RAM? Or graphics card?

My laptop did that, but I just figured it overheated because my laptop was smoking [which is odd because it can handle anything else]. My laptop
I had to load Sims 3 onto the Desktop PC and play from there. Kind of annoying having to use the home pc for Sims 3 when I take my laptop everywhere with me. D=

My graphics card starts to overheat when I'm on Create a Sim, and it's one of the cards listed as being compatible with the game. My game doesn't crash, but I start getting all kinds of weird green flashing parts on my screen. If I turn all the graphics too low, I can play the rest of the game fine, otherwise it happens all the time.

Yeah, I turned down my graphics, which is fine by me. But it still happens to me creating a sim.
Another problem game to me with Telephobia sims who come with in contact with a computer or television and has a bad mood... it stays!!! It never goes. >.< moving doesn't help.

Agh, i've got a really good computer but create-a-sim still messes with it. It doesn't do anything severe like that, but the fan inside starts blowing excessively and making loud noises that are extremely irritating. Sims 3 really surprised me because on large lots I lag even though I only have around 30 Custom Contents, and one neighborhood. It's the first game to lag on me, and in Sims 2 I ran families with 12+ members.

I have a crash issue only when im going way into detail with the families after i create them and play them.. i have to quit after their children get raised and max out their stuff.. it is too much for my computer's memory [which is funny cuz memory is at the limit i can have at it]. So i dunno what happens there, but I probably wouldn't play anymore if i couldn't even create characters gonk gonk

Do you have a Graphics Card? Inter-graded Graphics won't be any good :/ Also it could be your processor/Memory Ram
