There are islands in Aster, as there are in any sea, though they are small and not well known of. The natives that inhabit these islands have done so for generations upon generations and there is no evidence that they have ever NOT lived there. They are not generally not hospitable to outsiders, particularly those that have descended from mainlanders. Lost Land natives know little to nothing about the outbreak of the Rage and care even less.
There are a few tribes and colonies that may take pity upon a person of Gilthaune, but most will not. Lost Land natives are unlike any from the mainland.
Villages of the Lost Lands can be built from straw, mud, palm leaves, wood, or stone. Most have a town center, and most have a prominent house that their chief lives in.
