Please do NOT waste your money on the Mimi kitty! I love cats so I bought all the cat-themed fish but Mimi was a waste. I bought her for 299 gaia cash ($2.99) and she currently sells for 17,500 in the MP but her rate of return is about as bad as a cuttlefish.

A much better investment is a starfish, which costs the same as the Mimi in cash (299) and costs about 33,000 gold in the MP. Starfish drop a lot gold so they're good to have, especially if you have multiples.

I'm not going to go look up all the prices, but I have had a lot of success with the knight fish and turtles as well.

And as everyone knows, you can't go wrong with either of the mermaids and watermeats because of their blue and green gold, but they are about the most expensive fish out there. Although Lila has really dropped in price; she is down around 58,000 in the MP right now and I remember when she was over 100k.

Lastly, don't disregard the lowly hermit cat...I've had individual hermit cats poop out about 100 gold per game for me, making them about three times better than a cuttlefish and at a third the price. (Hermits currently range around 450 in the MP and cuttles are around 1600.) Plus, if you're lucky you can get one for free while playing Booty Grab! And their gold is easy to grab because they're at the bottom of the tank; you can just follow them around. If your tank is full, sell them in the MP or throw them in Barrett's tank and wait for the hermit cat drop and keep or sell it.

Good luck! mrgreen

I personally think the best fish to go with when starting are the trigger fish.
Such as the knight fish/ninja fish and octopii are kinda cheap to start off the tank.

The Dark Knight Fish is currently really cheap 25,000g and they put out lotsa gold

I have to say that the watermeat and the lila are the best. The meats give a crap load of gold and end up paying for themselves after 1 or 2 months. Then you just get free gold! Lila's are pretty and are high trigger!

personally, i'd have to say that i like the watermeat and the starfish the best. especially the blue starfish because it drops the green coins. and it's cheaper than a memphis.

but the knightfish and turtles are also good for high triggers

I am partial to the watermeat but turtles are so prolific. Most bang for the buck is definately the lowly hermit cat.

nada chance

I <3 watermeats, and not only for their blue coins I love them because they are so big, their faces look dumb and seems to cute.

I haven't gotten a hermit cat in a game of booty grab in a LONG time. Seems like they turned them down to very low trigger rates during the nerfing. I would NOT, under any circumstances, recommend that people use them as a booty grab fish. As a cute fish for an aquarium - sure - but booty grab? No.
