{When They Cry } xxxxxxxxxxA Higurashi and Umineko Guild This is a thread to get to know all of the members of this guild! Tell a little about yourself (it doesn't have to be personal information, but hobbies and such), and how you got into Higurashi and/or Umineko!

Hey! Nice to meet you all! I'm vanny_jae, but you can just call me Vanny if you'd like. Some hobbies are drawing, reading, goofing off on the internet (most of the time, heh), acting like an idiot (all of the time :3), watching anime, etc. I fell in love with Higurashi when I first got into anime, and watched the anime first. I recently read Onikakushi-hen from the visual novel, but I can't read any more than that because I'm not fluent in Japanese, and there isn't an English patch out as far as I know. I actually didn't read Umineko until about 5 months ago. I read the first episode, then gave up for a while because I couldn't find a second episode download. I got episode 4 about a month ago, then read episodes 2 and 3. I'm still reading episode 4 of Umineko. I can't wait until the anime comes out! 6 more days guys! Woo!!

I'm 876H. I got bored trying to come up with a name.
My hobbies are mainly 2D related, although I have obsession trait and can obsess over anything easily.
I watch anime raw, and understand barely any of it.
I havn't played higurashi because I know I'll find myself with nothing to do after finishing the first episode. I have watched it all other than the final episode of rei which hasn't aired. I also read the manga although I don't think I finished it.
I played umineko 1-4 recently, and for awhile had nothing to do. I'm also looking forward to the anime, but am really hoping the 'it haz kilingz' fanbase of higurashi doesn't take umineko too.

I'm Chiikage but my friends usually call me Chi so that it's shorter. I like playing on my piano & cello, programming & just talking to a few people.
I found out about Higurashi while I was searching for a manga to read. Then I heard about Umineko & became more interested in the "When They Cry" series. So far, I've only read the mangas about the "When They Cry" series. I'm going to try to get the full collection of Umineko when I get the chance.
My favorite characters in Higurashi would be Rika & in Umineko, it's Bernkastel.
My favorite part of the games are pretty much the BGMs. "Happy Maria" being the strangest song I'll ever know. xd My most favorite would probably be "dreamenddischarger" for being a calm music & "miragecoordinator" for... I have no idea why. I guess I just like the melody.

I'm Nipah4ever, and Higurashi was the first real anime I watched. At first I didn't know what to think of it, and now I'm one of the biggest fans you'll probably ever meet. Probably. Yeah, I've seen the entire anime (other than Rei ep 5) and I'm reading the manga.
As for Umineko, It's barely coming out, so I can't say much. But I can say that it looks amazing, and for the two episodes I've seen, I loved it.

My nickname is Kira, because my actual name is too weirdish. I'm addicted to anime, and slightly video games. Currently watching the confusing .hack series. I liek mudkipz and Higurashi is the first anime I watched. I totally love the umineko anime, but because of my mom I can't watch it when she's around. I tried watching the VN but its so long. Oh yeah, I'm lazy and can't stand animes more than 40 episodes long. I like cute things and I'm taking Sakurataro home. o3o

well first i didnt know about Higurashi i just saw a pic of them in a magazine, then a few months later my cousin was showing my sis an anime scene so i came and watched too and it was were rika was stabbing herself. At first i didnt wanted to watch it, but then i kept looking info's about it and i watched the entire anime.... so i became a little obsessed with it
